Luzhniki Stadium ( rus, стадион «Лужники», p=stədʲɪˈon lʊʐnʲɪˈkʲi, ''Stadion Luzhniki'') is the national stadium of Russia, located in its capital city, Moscow. The Netherlands women's national rugby sevens team participated in the IRB Women's Sevens Challenge Cup in Hong Kong losing to Spain in the Plate semi-finals, they finished 8th overall. Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. 2012–13 IRB Women's Sevens World Series
The IRB Women's Sevens World Series (2012/2013) was the inaugural edition of the IRB Women's Sevens World Series, organized by the IRB annual series of tournaments for women's national teams in the Rugby Sevens. In October 2012 the IRB announced that the season would consist of four tournaments - in Dubai, Houston, Guangzhou and Amsterdam - played from November 2012 to May 2013. The Dubai tournament was held in conjunction with the 2012 Dubai Sevens for men, while the others were separate competitions. The number of teams in each of the events was set at twelve, with six core teams participating in all tournaments of the series and the other teams identified by elimination or rankings within the IRB's six regions. Japan Women's National Rugby Union Team (sevens)
The Japan women's national rugby sevens team has competed in competitions such as the Hong Kong Women's Sevens. In 2012-13 they played two World Series tournaments, resulting 13th in China. In the 2013–14 season they resulted 7th at São Paulo and 8th at Atlanta. They were not invited to any World Series tournament in 2014–15. Japan played the full 2015–16 World Series, with a best result of 9th at the Dubai Sevens, and finished 11th in the overall standings. The Fiji women's national rugby sevens team represents Fiji at regional and international sevens tournaments.
