2013 Oregon State Beavers Baseball Team
The 2013 Oregon State Beavers baseball team represents Oregon State University in the 2013 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Beavers play their home games at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field and are members of the Pac-12 Conference. The team is coached by Pat Casey in his 19th season at Oregon State. The Beavers won the Pac-12 conference with a 24-6 conference record, and made it to the semifinals of the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, officially finishing tied for 3rd in the tournament. Pat Casey (baseball)
Patrick Michael Casey (born March 17, 1959) is an American college baseball coach who was the head coach for the Oregon State Beavers baseball team. He is best known for winning the 2006 College World Series for the Beavers' first-ever baseball National Championship. The following year, he led the Beavers to a repeat championship in the 2007 College World Series, the first unranked team in history to accomplish this feat. He retired from Oregon State after winning his third championship in the 2018 College World Series. Playing career A three-sport athlete at Newberg High School, Casey attended the University of Portland where he played baseball as well as basketball. In baseball, he was named to the All-Pac-10 Conference Northern Division first team in 1979 and 1980, and was drafted in the 10th round by the San Diego Padres in the 1980 Major League Baseball draft. 2013 UCLA Bruins Baseball Team
The 2013 UCLA Bruins baseball team represented the University of California, Los Angeles in the 2013 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Bruins competed in the Pac-12 Conference, and played their home games in Jackie Robinson Stadium. John Savage served as head coach for his 9th season. The Bruins swept through the NCAA Tournament's Los Angeles Regional, Fullerton Super Regional, and College World Series bracket to reach the final against Mississippi State, their second appearance in four years. The Bruins swept the Bulldogs in a best of three series to win their first NCAA National Championship in baseball, while going a perfect 10–0 in the postseason; the third consecutive NCAA Division I baseball team to sweep the postseason en route to the championship, and also the last to do so. Fowler Park
Fowler Park and Cunningham Field is a baseball venue located on the campus of the University of San Diego in San Diego, California, United States. It is home to the San Diego Toreros baseball team, a member of the Division I West Coast Conference. The park was built in 2012-13 and has a capacity of 1,700 permanent seats, all of which are chair-backed. Its capacity is able to expand to 3,000 spectators for postseason or special event play. Ryan Kellogg
Ryan Andrew Kellogg (born February 4, 1994) is a Canadian professional baseball pitcher for the Wild Health Genomes of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Professional career Kellogg was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 12th round of the 2012 MLB Draft out of Henry Street High School in Whitby, Ontario but did not sign. He attended Arizona State University, and in 2013 he played collegiate summer baseball for the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod Baseball League, where he was named a league all-star. Chicago Cubs Kellogg was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 5th round of the 2015 MLB Draft. Kellogg signed with Chicago and was assigned to the Low-A Eugene Emeralds, where he spent the whole season, posting an 0–1 record with a 4.98 ERA in 21.1 innings pitched. Hi Corbett Field is a baseball park in the southwestern United States, located in Tucson, Arizona. With a seating capacity of approximately 9,500, it was the spring training home of the Colorado Rockies and Cleveland Indians of Major League Baseball, and is currently home to the University of Arizona Wildcats of the Pac-12 Conference. Joe Etzel Field
Joe Etzel Field is a 1,300 seat baseball stadium in Portland, Oregon that is home to the University of Portland Pilots baseball team. Originally named Pilot Field, it was renamed after former coach Joe Etzel in 2004. Completed in 2005, the Andy Pienovi Hitting Facility is the baseball team's practice facility. It is located in foul territory in left field. Preliminary campus expansion plans include moving the baseball field from its current location to one down on the waterfront in the Triangle Park property. Those plans were abandoned in 2013 with plans to instead renovate the existing stadium. The school has since added artificial turf and lighting.
