2013 North Carolina Tar Heels Baseball Team
The 2013 North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team are representing the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the 2013 NCAA Division I baseball season. Head Coach Mike Fox is in his 15th year coaching the Tar Heels. They play their home games at Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium and are members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The 2013 season was one of the best in school history. The Tar Heels were ranked #1 in the Baseball America poll for most of the season, and won their first ACC tournament title in six years. They made the 2013 NCAA Division I baseball tournament as the overall number-one seed, and advanced to the 2013 College World Series. It was the 10th CWS appearance in school history, and their seventh appearance since 2006. Mike Fox (baseball Coach)
Mike Fox is an American retired college baseball coach. Fox was the North Carolina Tar Heels baseball, North Carolina head baseball coach for 22 seasons and is considered one of the school's most successful coaches, having led the North Carolina Tar Heels, Tar Heels to seven College World Series appearances, including four consecutive from 2006 College World Series, 2006 to 2009 College World Series, 2009. Over his 37-year head coaching career, he compiled a 1,487–547–5 record (.731 winning percentage). Fox was named to the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame in 2017. Playing career Fox played second base for the Tar Heels from 1976–1978. As a senior, he hit .277, tied for the team lead with six home runs. He led the Tar Heels to the 1978 College World Series and was named a member of the CWS All-Tournament Team. 2013 VCU Rams Baseball Team
The 2013 VCU Rams baseball team will be the 43rd season of the university fielding a varsity baseball program, and will represent Virginia Commonwealth University in the 2013 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Rams will be playing their inaugural season in the Atlantic 10 Conference. It will be the first season of Shawn Stiffler as manager for the program. It was previously led by Paul Keyes for the past 18 season. Keyes died of cancer in the summer of 2012. North Carolina Tar Heels
The North Carolina Tar Heels are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The name Tar Heel is a nickname used to refer to individuals from the state of North Carolina, the ''Tar Heel State''. The campus at Chapel Hill is referred to as the ''University of North Carolina'' for the purposes of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Durham Bulls Athletic Park
Durham Bulls Athletic Park (DBAP, pronounced "d-bap") is a 10,000-seat ballpark in Durham, North Carolina that is home to the Durham Bulls, the Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball. It is also home to the Duke Blue Devils and North Carolina Central Eagles college baseball teams. The $18.5-million park opened in 1995 as the successor to the Durham Athletic Park. Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium is a college baseball stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Doak Field
Doak Field (or The Doak) is a baseball venue in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. It opened in 1966 and is home to the North Carolina State University Wolfpack college baseball team of the NCAA's Division I Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). It is named for Charles Doak, who was the head coach of the NC State baseball team from 1924–1939. The stadium is located on NC State's West Campus, behind Lee and Sullivan residence halls. 2013 NC State Wolfpack Baseball Team
The 2013 NC State Wolfpack baseball team represented North Carolina State University in the 2013 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Wolfpack was coached by Elliott Avent, in his seventeenth season, and played their home games at Doak Field. The Wolfpack finished with 50 wins, the most in school history, against 16 losses overall, and 19–10 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, good for second place in the Atlantic Division. English Field At Atlantic Union Bank Park is a baseball stadium in Blacksburg, Virginia. It is the home field of the Virginia Tech Hokies college baseball team.
