2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Season
The 2013 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began on February 15, 2013. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2013 NCAA Division I baseball tournament and 2013 College World Series. The College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska, at TD Ameritrade Park concluded on June 25, 2013 with the final game of the best of three championship series. UCLA defeated Mississippi State two games to none to claim their first championship. Dallas Baptist Patriots Baseball
The Dallas Baptist Patriots baseball team represents Dallas Baptist University, which is located in Dallas, Texas. The Patriots are an NCAA Division I college baseball program that competes in Conference USA. They began competing in Division I in 2004 and joined the Missouri Valley Conference in 2014 after only one season with the Western Athletic Conference. They are the only Dallas Baptist program in Division I and Conference USA. All other Dallas Baptist programs compete in Division II's Lone Star Conference. DBU is also the only D-II member that competes in D-I baseball. The Dallas Baptist Patriots play all home games on campus at Joan and Andy Horner Ballpark. The TCU Horned Frogs baseball team represents Texas Christian University in NCAA Division I baseball. The Mountain West Conference (MW) is one of the collegiate athletic conferences affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) (formerly I-A). The MW officially began operations on January 4, 1999. The WAC covers a broad expanse of the western United States with member institutions located in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Utah, Washington (state), Washington, and Texas.
