A heptathlon is a track and field combined events contest made up of seven events. The name derives from the Greek επτά (hepta, meaning "seven") and ἄθλος (áthlos, or ἄθλον, áthlon, meaning "competition"). A competitor in a heptathlon is referred to as a heptathlete. Anouk Vetter
Anouk Vetter (; born 4 February 1993) is a Dutch track and field athlete who competes in the combined events. She won the silver medal in the heptathlon at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Vetter claimed bronze and silver in the event at the 2017 and 2022 World Athletics Championships respectively. She took the gold medal at the 2016 European Championships. She is the Dutch record holder for the heptathlon with a score 6867 points, and won eight national titles (mostly for the long jump).
