2013 Copa Del Rey De Baloncesto
The Copa del Rey de Baloncesto 2012–13 was the 77th edition of the Spanish King's Basketball Cup. It is managed by the ACB League and was held in Vitoria-Gasteiz, in the Fernando Buesa Arena on February 7–10, 2013. FC Barcelona Regal was the champion. Qualified teams The seven first qualified after the first half of the ACB Regular Season will qualify to the tournament. As Caja Laboral, host team, finished between the seven first teams, the eight qualified will join the Copa del Rey. The Copa del Rey de Baloncesto (English: '' King's Cup of Basketball'') is an annual cup competition for Spanish basketball teams organized by Spain's top professional league, the Liga ACB. History Originally known as the ''Copa de España de Baloncesto'', was first played in 1933 and contested in its first editions only by teams from the provinces of Madrid and Barcelona. It was the first nationwide basketball competition played in Spain. During the Francoism, it was referred to as the ''Copa del Generalísimo de Baloncesto'', before becoming the ''Copa del Rey de Baloncesto'' in 1977. Sergio Llull Melià (; born 15 November 1987) is a Spanish professional basketball player and the team captain for Real Madrid of the Spanish Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. Michael Brandon Roll (born April 12, 1987) is an American-born naturalized Tunisian professional basketball player who last played for Pınar Karşıyaka of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). Pedro Llompart Usón (born January 9, 1982) is a Spanish professional basketball player who last played for HLA Alicante of the Spanish LEB Oro. Henk Norel (born 17 September 1987) is a Dutch retired basketball player. He currently is a performance coach for the Heroes Den Bosch of the Dutch Basketball League (DBL).
