2013 Charlotte 49ers Football Team
The 2013 Charlotte 49ers football team represented the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (also called Charlotte or UNC Charlotte) in the 2013 NCAA Division I FCS football season. 2013 was the inaugural season for 49ers football and they were classified as an FCS independent school, meaning they had no athletic conference affiliation for the 2013 season. The team was led by first time head coach Brad Lambert and played its home games on campus at the newly built Jerry Richardson Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. As the team was in their two-year transition period before reclassifying to the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), they were ineligible to participate in the FCS playoffs. 1948 CCUNC Owls Football Team
The 1948 CCUNC Owls football team was an American football team that represented the Charlotte Center of the University of North Carolina or CCUNC (now known as the University of North Carolina at Charlotte) as an independent during the 1948 college football season. In their first season under head coach Carroll Blackwell, the team compiled a 0–5 record. The CCUNC program was disbanded prior to the 1949 season as there were not enough players to field the team. The Wittenberg Tigers football team represents Wittenberg University in college football. The first recorded year in Wittenberg football history was 1892. Joe Tereshinski III
Joseph Peter Tereshinski III (born July 23, 1983) is a former American football quarterback. He played college football for Georgia. He is a third-generation Georgia Bulldogs football player. After graduating and serving two seasons as an assistant coach at Wake Forest, in January 2012, Tereshinski was hired as the inside receivers coach and recruiting coordinator at Charlotte. His last season with the 49ers program was 2017. High school career Tereshinski attended Athens Academy, a private school in Georgia, where he led the Spartans for his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. The Georgia Bulldogs football program represents the University of Georgia in the sport of American football. The Marshall Thundering Herd football team is an intercollegiate varsity sports program of Marshall University.
