2013 Brisbane Broncos Season
The 2013 Brisbane Broncos season was the 26th in the club's history. Coached by Anthony Griffin and captained by Sam Thaiday, they competed in the NRL's 2013 Telstra Premiership. Brisbane finished the regular season in 12th (out of 16), thus failing to qualify for the finals for the first time since 2010. According to a 2013 report, the Brisbane Broncos had the highest brand equity of any Australian sporting brand. 2013 was however their worst season ever. 2013 NRL Season
The 2013 NRL season was the 106th season of professional rugby league club competition in Australia. The National Rugby League's main competition, named the 2013 Telstra Premiership after major sponsors Telstra Corporation, was contested by sixteen teams during the regular season, which lasted from March to September, and resulted in the top eight finishing teams, who went on to contest the finals. The season culminated in the Grand Final, in which the Sydney Roosters defeated the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles 26-18 to win their first NRL premiership since 2002. The NRL season started with the 2013 NRL All Stars match, which was played in February. The 2013 Holden Cup, the NRL's Under-20s competition, also took place alongside the Premiership, with most matches held before the first grade competition. Justin Hodges
Justin Hodges (born 25 May 1982) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s and 2010s. A Queensland State of Origin and Australian international representative , Hodges started his career in the National Rugby League with the Brisbane Broncos before moving to the Sydney Roosters, with whom he won the 2002 NRL Premiership, before returning to the Broncos in 2005, and winning the 2006 NRL Premiership. He also captained the Broncos. Early years Hodges was born in Cairns, Queensland on born 25 May 1982. Ben Hannant
Benjamin Hannant (born 31 December 1984), also known by the nickname of "Polar Bear", is an Australian rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Burleigh Bears in the Intrust Super Cup. A Queensland State of Origin and Australian international representative prop-forward, he played in the National Rugby League for the North Queensland Cowboys, Brisbane Broncos, Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and Sydney Roosters. Hannant is a two-time premiership winner, with the Broncos in 2006 and the Cowboys in 2015. David Hala (Born 25 October 1989) is a Tonga international rugby league footballer who plays for the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Queensland Cup. He previously played for the Brisbane Broncos and the Gold Coast Titans in the NRL. He made his NRL debut in round 21 of the 2009 NRL season. Matthew Gillett (born 12 August 1988) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played as a forward in the 2010s. He played for the Brisbane Broncos in the NRL and Australia at international level. Gillett also played for Queensland in the State of Origin series and the Prime Minister's XIII. Brendon Gibb
Brendon Gibb (born 9 October 1988) is an Australian former professional Rugby league footballer who played for the Brisbane Broncos in the NRL. Background Gibb played at the Gladstone brothers as his junior club and found his favoured position was in the back row. Darren James Lockyer (born 24 March 1977) is an Australian television commentator and former professional rugby league footballer. Lockyer was an Australian international and Queensland State representative captain, who played his entire professional career with the Brisbane Broncos.
