2012–13 Women's FIH Hockey World League Final
The 2012–13 Women's FIH Hockey World League Final was the 1st edition of the Finals of the FIH Hockey World League for women. It was held from 30 November to 8 December 2013 in San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina. The Netherlands won the tournament for the first time after defeating Australia 5–1 in the finals. England won the third place match by defeating host nation Argentina 4–2 on a penalty shootout after a 1–1 draw. Qualification The host nation qualified automatically in addition to 7 teams qualified from the Semifinals. The following eight teams, shown with final pre-tournament rankings, competed in this round of the tournament. These were not the rankings used to allocate teams to the pools as they were announced five days before the tournament started, but the previous update released on 30 June 2013, after the completion of the Semifinals. 2012–13 Women's FIH Hockey World League
The 2012–13 Women's FIH Hockey World League was the inaugural edition of the women's field hockey national team league series. The tournament started in August 2012 in Prague, Czech Republic and finished in December 2013 in San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina. The Semifinals of this competition also served as a qualifier for the 2014 Women's Hockey World Cup as the 6 highest placed teams apart from the host nation and the five continental champions qualified. The Netherlands won the tournament's Final round for the first time after defeating Australia 5–1 in the final match. Georgina Sophie Twigg (born 21 November 1990) is an English international field hockey player and an Olympic gold medalist at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Cui Qiuxia (Chinese: 崔秋霞; 11 September 1990) is a Chinese field hockey player. Sophie Charlotte Bray, (born 12 May 1990) is an English international field hockey player who played as a forward for England women's national field hockey team, England and Great Britain women's national field hockey team, Great Britain. She currently plays club hockey in the Investec Women's Hockey League Premier Division for East Grinstead Hockey Club, East Grinstead. Personal life Bray lives in Claygate, Surrey but was born in France where her father worked as a marketing consultant. Malou Pheninckx (born 24 July 1991) is a Dutch women's field hockey player who currently plays as a midfielder for Netherlands women's national field hockey team. She also pursued her higher education at the Erasmus University Rotterdam in the field of medicine. Frederique Derkx
Frederique Derkx (born 20 February 1994, Heeze) is a Dutch field hockey player. Life Derkx started her hockey career at Hockey Heeze. She later played for HC Den Bosch, where she won two national championships, before moving to Oranje Zwart in 2012. In 2015 she moved to SCHC, where she still plays. Derkx was a member of the junior Netherlands women's national field hockey team that won the field hockey tournament at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics.
