The 2012–13 season was Shrewsbury's first season back in Football League One, League One following promotion from Football League Two, League Two the previous season. Graham Turner
Graham John Turner (born 5 October 1947) is an English former footballer who became a manager. His son Mark was also a professional footballer. He is third behind only Alex Ferguson and Arsène Wenger in terms of most games managed. After a 19-year career as a central defender in the lower divisions, he became manager of Shrewsbury Town. After winning the Third Division, he oversaw five seasons in the Second Division before being appointed manager of Aston Villa. With little success in two years, he was sacked and went to Wolves whom he took from the Fourth Division to the Second Division, winning the Football League Trophy along the way. He left in 1994 and had a year out of football before his arrival at Hereford United. A run to the Division Three play-offs was a false dawn, and a year later the Bulls were relegated to the Conference. Michael Hector
Michael Anthony James Hector (born 19 July 1992) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Charlton Athletic. Born in England, he represents the Jamaica national team. Hector began his career in the youth teams at Millwall and Thurrock before moving to Reading in 2009 where he joined the Academy. In his first two seasons at the club he spent time on loan at a succession of non-league sides including Didcot Town, Oxford City and Horsham. Hector signed professional terms with Reading in May 2010 and joined League of Ireland side Dundalk on loan in February 2011. Paul Ian Parry (born 19 August 1980) is a Welsh footballer who is currently the assistant manager at Chepstow Town Football club alongside Marc Ingles in the Ardal South East side Chepstow Town. He is a former Wales international. Personal life Parry was born in Chepstow. As a youngster he attended Chepstow Comprehensive School. Joseph Anyon (born 29 December 1986) is an English footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. A youth player at Port Vale, he turned professional at the club in 2004, and was loaned out to non-League sides Stafford Rangers and Harrogate Town to gain experience. Christopher Weale (born 9 February 1982) is a former English professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is currently director of football at Sherborne School.
