2012–13 Scottish Challenge Cup
The 2012–13 Scottish Challenge Cup, known as the Ramsdens Challenge Cup due to sponsorship reasons with Ramsdens, was the 22nd season of the competition. It was competed for by 32 clubs, which included the 30 members of the 2012–13 Scottish Football League, and for the second season running, the top two Highland Football League clubs with a valid SFA club licence. The defending champions were Falkirk, who defeated Hamilton Academical in the 2012 final. Inverurie Loco Works who finished fourth and Wick Academy eighth in the Highland Football League qualified for the competition for the first time after being asked to compete following their work in the SFA's Club Licensing programme. Clubs ranked higher such as Forres Mechanics were not compliant with the programme so the qualification spot moved to a lower ranked club. Falkirk Stadium
The Falkirk Stadium is a football stadium in Falkirk, central Scotland, which is the home ground of Scottish League One club Falkirk and Lowland Football League club East Stirlingshire. The stadium has a capacity of and currently consists of three fully completed stands. The stadium was opened in 2004 with the main stand completed. Lyle James Alfred Taylor (born 29 March 1990) is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for club Nottingham Forest and for the Montserrat national team. Kieran Duffie (born 4 March 1992) is a Scottish professional footballer, who plays as a defender for Clyde. George Salmond
George Salmond (born 1 December 1969) is a former Scottish cricketer, with 146 full caps (104 as captain) later became a football referee. During a distinguished cricketing career, Salmond captained Scotland in Under-16, Under-19 B and senior levels. A right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler, Salmond's top-score was 181 in a 1996 three-day match against Ireland, smashing his previous two records from the corresponding fixture in 1992, in a match where he only narrowly missed getting two centuries in a single game. Glebe Park, Brechin
Glebe Park is a football stadium in Brechin, Scotland, which is the home ground of Brechin City. Glebe Park opened in 1919. The ground had just one portable stand, which had been used at the Perth agricultural show. Brechin City joined the Scottish Football League in 1929, when a pavilion was added and the Cemetery End terrace was covered. The biggest ever attendance was 8,123, against Aberdeen in a Scottish Cup tie played on 3 February 1973. This attendance was greater than the population of Brechin. Floodlights were installed and used for the first time in 1977, in a match against Hibernian. The old stand was replaced by a new Main Stand, with 290 seats, in 1981. Sponsorship by the Stewart Milne group and a Football Trust grant of £210,000 financed the construction of a 1,228 seat stand at the Trinity Road end of the ground. Lee McCulloch
Lee Henry McCulloch (born 14 May 1978) is a Scottish professional football coach and former player. He is the first team assistant manager at Scottish Premiership club Heart of Midlothian. McCulloch was capped on eighteen occasions by the Scotland national football team. During his career he has played for Motherwell, Wigan Athletic, Rangers and Kilmarnock at club level. He played mostly as a central defender or a defensive midfielder during his time at Rangers (he also played striker for the club when required) but has also played as an attacking midfielder and winger during his time in English football. Andrew Little (born 12 May 1989) is a Northern Irish former footballer who played mainly as a forward. A versatile player, he could play in any outfield position, though preferred a more attacking role. He left Ballinamallard United for Rangers in 2006, where he turned professional the following year. He made a number of first team appearances in 2009–10, but was otherwise limited to youth and reserve team football until he won a loan move to Port Vale in August 2011. Andrew Steven Jackson (born 9 January 1988) is a Scottish-born Irish football player who plays as a striker. Beginning his career with St Johnstone, Jackson has also played for Greenock Morton, Brechin City and Forfar Athletic, and has also had spells on loan with Cowdenbeath, Forfar Athletic, Arbroath and Brechin City.
