2012–13 Northeastern Huskies Men's Basketball Team
The 2012–13 Northeastern Huskies men's basketball team represented Northeastern University during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Huskies, led by seventh year head coach Bill Coen, played their home games at Matthews Arena and were members of the Colonial Athletic Association. They finished the season 20–13, 14–4 in CAA play to claim the regular season CAA championship. They advanced to the championship game of the CAA tournament where they lost to James Madison. As a regular season conference champion who failed to win their conference tournament, they earned an automatic bid to the 2013 NIT where they lost in the first round to Alabama. Bill Coen
Bill Coen (born May 3, 1961) is an American college basketball coach and the current head men's basketball coach at the Northeastern University. He was previously an assistant coach under Al Skinner at Boston College and Rhode Island. 2012–13 UC Riverside Highlanders Men's Basketball Team
The 2012–13 UC Riverside Highlanders men's basketball team represented University of California, Riverside during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Highlanders, led by sixth year head coach Jim Wooldridge, played their home games at the Student Recreation Center Arena and were members of the Big West Conference. Due to low APR scores, the Highlanders were ineligible for post season play, including the Big West Tournament. They finished the season 6–25, 3–15 in Big West play to finish in last place. On December 15, the Highlanders tied the Big West conference record for fewest points scored in a single game, in a 26–70 loss at USC. It was also a school record for the fewest points scored in a game, breaking the previous record of 30 points which they had set earlier in the season against Fresno State in November. The 2012–13 Vermont Catamounts men's basketball team represented the University of Vermont during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.
