2012–13 Burton Albion F.C. Season
The 2012–13 season was Burton Albion's fourth consecutive season in the League Two, having finished 17th in the 2011–12 season. The season marked Gary Rowett's first full season in management with the club, having been appointed on a full-time basis on 11 May. His reign started with the club's first ever League Cup victory with a 5–4 penalty defeat of Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. Burton Albion Football Club is a professional association football club in the town of Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, England. The team compete in League One, the third tier of the English football league system. The club moved its home ground in 2005 to the Pirelli Stadium from Eton Park. The club's nickname, The Brewers, evokes the brewing heritage of Burton upon Trent. Burton Albion were formed in 1950 and initially joined the Birmingham & District League before switching to the Southern League eight years later. Tony James (footballer Born 1978)
Anthony James (born 9 October 1978) is a Welsh former footballer who last played as a centre-back for English club Hereford. Career Born in Cwmbran, James started his professional career at West Bromwich Albion where he played in the reserves. He then moved to Hereford United. He soon established himself as a first choice centre back, partnering Hereford captain Ian Wright. He was voted Player of the Year for the 2002–03 and 2003–04 seasons, in the latter he was an ever-present. When Wright left the club in 2003, James took over the captaincy and led the club to runner-up spot in the Conference in three successive seasons. He was also the regular penalty taker for Hereford, his most notable penalty being the opening goal in the televised 9–0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge in 2004. Ryan Austin (footballer)
Ryan Austin (born 15 November 1984) is an English professional football manager and former player. Playing career Austin was born in Stoke-on-Trent. After starting out as a trainee at Crewe Alexandra in 2004 he was later promoted to the first-team. He then had a successful loan spell at Burton Albion impressing manager Nigel Clough. In August 2004, he signed for Burton Albion on a free transfer from Crewe. A regular for Burton in the Football Conference, Austin made his Football League debut on 8 August 2009 in a 3–1 away defeat to Shrewsbury Town. Austin has also played for the England C national football team at semi-professional level. Austin was ruled out until the end of the 2009–10 season with a torn knee ligament. Adam Bolder
Adam Peter Bolder (born 25 October 1980) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for North Ferriby. He played in the Football League for Hull City, Derby County, Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall, Bradford City and Burton Albion before finishing his career in Non-league football with Harrogate Town, Scarborough Athletic and North Ferriby United. Kevin Poole
Kevin Poole (born 21 July 1963) is an English football coach and former professional footballer who is the goalkeeping coach at Solihull Moors. During a long career, Poole played in the Premier League for Leicester City and Bolton Wanderers, having also appeared in England's First Division for Aston Villa before the formation of the Premiership. He also featured for Northampton Town, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool United, Birmingham City and Derby County, before signing for Burton Albion in 2006, aged 43. Latterly employed as goalkeeping coach in addition to being registered as a player, Poole made his final appearance for Burton in 2010. Abdillahie Abdalla Yussuf (born 20 February 1992) is a Tanzanian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Brackley Town. Club career Leicester City Born in Zanzibar, Tanzania, Yussuf began his career with Leicester City for its youth and reserve teams. He failed to make an appearance for the club, and on 21 May 2011, with the impending expiry of his contract, Yussuf was released by Leicester City. Jack Robert Dyer (born 11 December 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays for Conference North side Tamworth, where he plays as a midfielder. Dyer was brought up in the small town of Aldridge in the West Midlands. Patrick Ada
Patrick Omgba Ada (born 14 January 1985) is a Cameroonian former professional footballer and convicted rapist. During his career, which lasted between 2004 and 2012, Ada played as a defender. He notably represented Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League, and played in the Football League for Barnet, Exeter City, Crewe Alexandra and Burton Albion. Andrés Gurrieri (born 3 July 1989) is a retired Argentine former professional footballer who played as a midfielder, predominantly on the right wing. Career Born in the Swiss city of Winterthur, he holds dual Argentine and Italian citizenship.
