Ondřej Moravec
Ondřej Moravec (; born 9 June 1984) is a former Czech biathlete. Life and career Moravec represented the Czech Republic at the 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018. At the 2014 Winter Olympics, he won silver medals in both the pursuit and the mixed relay (together with Jaroslav Soukup, Veronika Vítková and Gabriela Soukalová) and a bronze medal in the mass start. Valentyna Oleksandrivna Semerenko ( uk, Валентина Олександрівна Семеренко), known also as Valya Semerenko () and featuring in statistics as Valj Semerenko (born 18 January 1986) is a Ukrainian biathlete. She is Olympic and World champion, multiple World championships medalist, and one of the most successful Ukrainian winter athletes. Career When she was in the fourth grade of elementary school, she took up cross-country skiing together with her twin sister Vita. But later, they decided to switch to biathlon. Olena Bilosiuk, née Olena Pidhrushna ( uk, Олена Михайлівна Підгрушна, Olena Myxajlivna Pidhrušna; born 9 January 1987) is a Ukrainian biathlete. She is Olympic and World champion and multiple medalist in different high-level competitions. Pidhrushna is considered one of Ukraine's most successful winter sports athletes. She lives in Ternopil. Career Her first international competition was 2005 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival in Monthey, Switzerland, where she won two bronze medals, and 2005 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti, Finland. Next season she missed internationally, but on 2 March 2007, she debuted in Biathlon World Cup by finishing 44th in sprint in Lahti, Finland. Yuliia Dzhima ( uk, Юлія Валентинівна Джима; born 19 September 1990) is a Ukrainian World Cup level biathlete. She is Olympic champion in women's relay, multiple World championships medalist. She is one of the most successful Ukrainian biathletes of 2010's. Career She took up biathlon in Kyiv, where she lives. At the beginning of her sporting career she wasn't seen as a promising rising athlete. She didn't show good results in skiing so trainers were doubtful whether she would be a good biathlete. Laura Dahlmeier
Laura Dahlmeier (; born 22 August 1993) is a retired German biathlete. Dahlmeier started in her first world cup races in the 2012/13 season. In 2014, she participated in the Winter Olympics in Sochi. She won a record of five gold medals at the World Championships of 2017. In 2018 she became the first woman to win the biathlon sprint and pursuit in the same Olympics. During her career she has won a total of two golds and one bronze at the Olympics, seven gold medals, three silver medals and five bronze medals at World Championships, one overall World Cup and two discipline World Cup titles. Miriam Gössner
Miriam Neureuther ('' née'' Gössner; born 21 June 1990) is a former German biathlete and cross-country skier. She has won an Olympic silver medal in cross-country skiing and two biathlon world championship titles, all in team events. Noted for her fast skiing performances, she won two junior world championship titles in biathlon in 2008 and 2009. Gössner was called up for the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009, where she was part of Germany's cross-country team claiming silver in the 4 × 5 kilometre relay. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Gössner won a silver medal in cross-country skiing in the 4 × 5 kilometre relay. Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle
Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle (; born 27 November 1980) is a retired German cross-country skier and biathlete from Reit im Winkl who has competed since 1998. She was born in Traunstein, West Germany. Competing in three Winter Olympics, she won five medals with two golds (Team sprint: 2010, 4 × 5 km relay: 2002) and three silvers (Individual sprint: 2002, 4 × 5 km relay: 2006, 2010). Andrea Burke, née Henkel (born 10 December 1977) is a retired Germany, German professional biathlon, biathlete and the younger sister of Manuela Henkel, a successful Cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skier. She trained at SV Großbreitenbach. Andrea Henkel started out as a cross-country skier but later specialised in biathlon when women's biathlon became an Olympic sport. Since the 1998/99 season, she was a regular member of the German team in the Biathlon World Cup. After several top-ten results, she could win her first World Cup event in 1999, her second year. Anastasiya Vladimirovna Kuzmina ( sk, Anastasia Kuzminová, russian: Анастасия Владимировна Кузьмина; née Shipulina; born 28 August 1984) is a retired Russian-born Slovak biathlete. Career Kuzmina represented Slovakia from December 2008 and won the silver medal two months later in mass start at the 2009 Biathlon World Championships in Pyeongchang. Magdalena Gwizdoń
Magdalena Gwizdoń (born 4 August 1979) is a Polish biathlete, born in Cieszyn. Career Gwizdoń competed in the 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics for Poland. Her best finish was 7th, as part of the 2006 Polish relay team. Her best individual finish was 20th, in the 2006 sprint. In 2006, she also finished 21st in the pursuit, 29th in the mass start and 33rd in the individual. In 2010, she finished 35th in the sprint, 31st in the pursuit, 59th in the individual and 12th as part of the relay team. As of February 2013, her best performance at the Biathlon World Championships is 6th, as part of the 2008 Polish mixed relay team, and again with the 2009 women's relay team.
