Li Ching (table Tennis)
Li Ching (; born 7 March 1975 in Doumen, Guangdong, China) is a table tennis player from Hong Kong. He is best known for the joint silver medal he won for Hong Kong at the Athens Olympic in 2004. Career Born in Guangdong, Li joined the Chinese national table tennis team in 1990, and won second place at the men's single table tennis competition at the National Cup in China. Li's performance during his time at the Chinese national team fluctuated wildly, due primarily to switching of tactics. In 1994, Li withdrew from the Chinese national team for health reason, and moved to Hong Kong to join its national table tennis team. During Li's time on the Hong Kong team, he paired up with Ko Lai Chak as a duo, and achieved legendary status after the duo's silver medal win in Athens. In 2006, the duo won a pair of gold medal in their category at the Asian Games held in Doha. Chen Weixing (Simplified Chinese: 陈卫星 Hanyu Pinyin: Chén Wèixīng, born April 27, 1972, Inner Mongolia, China) is an Austrian table tennis player of Chinese origin. He has played for SVS Lower Austria for several years. Chen found it difficult to be selected in China's competitive national team. He made it to the top 15 but the opportunity to play at world class level was limited. Therefore, he decided to venture to Europe, first to Hungary, then Germany then Austria. Chen is considered to be one of the best defensive players in the world, reaching his personal best ranking of World number 9 in 2006. Alexey Smirnov (born October 9, 1977) is a male table tennis player from Russia. Since 2003 he won several medals in doubles events in the Table Tennis European Championships. He also won the gold medal at the Europe Top-12 in 2005 at Rennes. He is also a multiple Russian national champion – four times in Men Singles and five in Men Doubles. He was also part of the winning cadet European Youth Championship team in 1992, as well as being the winner of the men's singles, the men's doubles and the mixed doubles at the junior level at the 1995 European Youth Championships. is a Japanese male table tennis player. He is the gold medalist at the 2010 Youth Olympics and he won the World Junior Table Tennis Championships in 2010 (doubles) and 2011 (singles).
