2012 St Patrick's Athletic F.C. Season
The 2012 season was St. Patrick's Athletic F.C.'s 83rd year in existence and it was the Supersaint's 61st consecutive season in the top-flight of Irish football. The Saint's were under the new management of Liam Buckley after Pete Mahon was let go at the end of the 2011 season. Pat's finished 4th the previous season and doing so qualified for the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League First qualifying round. The Saints also competed in domestic competitions such as the FAI Cup, Setanta Cup, Leinster Senior Cup, and the EA Sports Cup. Friendlies and Setanta Cup exit After appointing Liam Buckley as the new manager, Buckley wasted no time in changing the squad by bringing in fourteen fresh faces and only keeping five players from the squad last season. New faces included Christy Fagan from Bohemians, James Chambers from Hamilton and old saint Brendan Clarke back to the club from Sligo Rovers. FAI Cup
The Football Association of Ireland Senior Challenge Cup (FAI Cup), known as the Extra.ie FAI Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a knock-out association football competition contested annually by teams from the Republic of Ireland (as well as Derry City from Northern Ireland). Organised by the FAI ( Football Association of Ireland), the competition is currently sponsored by '' Extra.ie''. It was known as the Free State Cup from 1923 to 1936. Balbriggan (; , IPA: bˠalʲəˈbʲɾʲɪɟiːnʲ is a coastal town in Fingal, in the northern part of County Dublin, Ireland, approximately 34 km from Dublin City. Daryl "Dil" Kavanagh (born 11 August 1986) is an Irish footballer who last played for Drogheda United in the League of Ireland Premier Division. Stephen Bradley (footballer)
Stephen Bradley (born 19 November 1984) is a retired Irish footballer, he has been the manager of Shamrock Rovers F.C. since July 2016. Besides the Republic of Ireland, he has played in England and Scotland. Playing career Bradley represented Republic of Ireland national football team at U14, U15, U16 and U21 levels. Gary Rogers
Gary Rogers (born 25 September 1981) is an Irish coach and former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Rogers was also called up to the Republic of Ireland national football team. He also played Gaelic football for and coached the Meath county team, and has also coached the Cavan, Monaghan and Westmeath county teams. Playing career Shelbourne Rogers played with St Francis when he was younger and was spotted by Dermot Keely and was brought to the Shelbourne youth team. Danny North
Daniel Jamie North (born 7 September 1987) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Barton Town, where he is also assistant manager. North started his professional career with home town club Grimsby Town in 2004 where he went on to break into the first team several years later. He departed Grimsby in 2010 and went on to play for Alfreton Town in 2010 before moving to Ireland with St Patrick's Athletic. Brendan Clarke (born 17 September 1985 in Dublin) is an Irish football player who plays for Galway United in the League of Ireland First Division. Club career St Patrick's Athletic Clarke is a goalkeeper and played schoolboy football for local side Cherry Orchard. He is one of a handful of local players to have played for St. Pats. Clarke had an extended spell in the first team at the end of the 2004 season as regular 'keeper Chris Adamson's form dropped. In 2007, Clarke was sent on a season-long loan to Waterford United but was recalled before the season got underway. At the end of the 2007 season, Clarke played in the 4 of the last 5 league games.
