2012 Macau Grand Prix
The 2012 Macau Grand Prix Formula Three was a motor race for Formula Three cars that was held on the streets of Macau on 18 November 2012. Unlike other races, such as the Pau Grand Prix, the 2012 Macau Grand Prix was not a part of any Formula Three championship, but was open to entries from all Formula Three championships. The race itself was made up of two races: a ten-lap qualifying race that decided the starting grid for the fifteen-lap main race. The 2012 race was the 59th running of the Macau Grand Prix, the 30th race for Formula Three cars, and was supported by the World Touring Car Championship Guia Race of Macau. The Grand Prix was won by Portuguese driver António Félix da Costa from pole position, having won the event's qualification race the previous afternoon. 2012 Guia Race Of Macau
The 2012 Guia Race of Macau was the twelfth and final round of the 2012 World Touring Car Championship season and the eighth running of the Guia Race of Macau. It was held on 18 November 2012 at the Guia Circuit in the Chinese special administrative region of Macau. The race was part of the Macau Grand Prix weekend, headlined by the Formula Three event. Both races were won by Chevrolet in their final event as a works team; Yvan Muller won the first race and Alain Menu won the second race, while the team's third driver Robert Huff became series champion with second to Menu in the second race. 2012 GP2 Series Season
The 2012 GP2 Series season was the forty-sixth season of the second-tier of Formula One feeder championship and also eighth season under the GP2 Series moniker and also the first season after merging with the GP2 Asia Series. The championship was expanded to include rounds in Malaysia, Bahrain and Singapore, in support of the 2012 Formula One season. The series adopted the points system used by Formula One for the feature race, with points awarded to the top ten drivers and twenty-five points on offer for victory. The points awarded in the sprint race were also changed, with the winner receiving fifteen points and top eight drivers receiving points. Further changes mean that drivers must use two compounds of tyres over a race weekend, as is the case in Formula One. Ryō Hirakawa
is a Japanese racing driver who is currently competing for Toyota Gazoo Racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship and Japanese Super Formula Championship. He won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Hypercar World Endurance Drivers' Championship in 2022 alongside co-drivers Sébastien Buemi and Brendon Hartley. Early career Born in Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture, Hirakawa began his racing career in karting at the age of thirteen and raced in various local championships. 2012 German Formula Three Season
The 2012 ATS Formel 3 Cup was the tenth edition of the German F3 Cup and the inaugural edition with one-make Volkswagen Power Engines. The Cup class is open for cars built between 2008 and 2011 and equipped with the new Volkswagen engine, while cars built between 2002 and 2007 with conventional Formula Three engines will race in the Trophy class. The season began on 4 May at Circuit Park Zandvoort and ended on 30 September at Hockenheim after nine race weekends, totalling 27 races. Jack Harvey (born 15 April 1993) is a British auto racing driver who competes full-time in the NTT IndyCar Series, driving the No. 30 Chevrolet for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, and a former member of McLaren's Young Driver Programme. Career Karting Harvey began his kart racing career at the age of nine. In 2006 he won the MSA Super One British title by a single point, and the Kartmasters British Grand Prix, both in the ICA-J class. In 2007 Harvey became a driver for the Italian Maranello team, in the newly created KF3 category. He ended up winning four trophies by the end of the year, with the Andrea Margutti Trophy, another Kartmasters title, the Italian Open Masters championship, and became European Champion in KF3. The 2012 FIA Formula 3 European Championship was the first edition of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. It began at Hockenheim on 28 April, and finished on 21 October at the same venue after ten meetings, held jointly with the Formula 3 Euro Series and the British Formula Three Championship. Prize tests The top drivers in the final championship standings will be rewarded with a wide range of prize tests in various other racing categories.
