2012 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Season
The 2012 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference football season was made up of 10 United States college athletic programs that competed in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) under the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) for the 2012 college football season. The season began play on August 25, 2012 when the Ottawa Braves hosted the Baker Wildcats. Conference teams and information Conference rules require each team to play all other teams within the conference and two other regular season non-conference game for a total of 11 games. Up until 2011, the conference only allowed a 10-game season. Two teams begin the season with new head coaches. Bethel's head coach Travis Graber resigned on July 27, 2012 with just over a month before the season begins for his team. National Association Of Intercollegiate Athletics
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) established in 1940, is a college athletics association for colleges and universities in North America. Most colleges and universities in the NAIA offer athletic scholarships to its student athletes. For the 2021–22 season, it has 252 member institutions, of which two are in British Columbia, one in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the rest in the conterminous United States, with over 77,000 student-athletes participating. The NAIA, whose headquarters is in Kansas City, Missouri, sponsors 27 national championships. The CBS Sports Network, formerly called CSTV, serves as the national media outlet for the NAIA. Jamie Cruce
Jamie Cruce is an American football coach and former player. He served as be the head football coach at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas from 2007 to 2012. He was also a player at the school under hall of fame coach Ted Kessinger. He is now the high school head coach at Pratt, Kansas. Cruce resigned from Bethany after the completion of the 2012 season. His record at Bethany was 28–34 overall and 21–33 in conference play. Salina, Kansas
Salina is a city in, and the county seat of, Saline County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 46,889. In the early 1800s, the Kanza tribal land reached eastward from the middle of the Kansas Territory. In 1858, settlers from Lawrence founded the Salina Town Company with a wagon circle, under constant threat of High Plains tribal attacks from the west. It was named for the salty Saline River. Saline County was soon organized around this township, and in 1870, Salina incorporated as a city. Dave Dallas
Dave Dallas is an American football coach and former player. He was the head football coach at Kansas Wesleyan University until he resigned after completion of the 2013 season. From 1989 to 1996, Dallas was the head football coach at Ottawa University. From 2014 to 2016 he was the head coach at North County High School in Bonne Terre, Missouri. Playing career Dallas played college football at Missouri Western in St. Joseph, Missouri from 1979 until 1982. After playing, he continued to work with the Griffons as a graduate assistant in the football program. Monty Lewis (born January 2, 1963) is an American football coach. Is the head football coach at Winfield High School in Winfield, KS. Lewis served as the head football coach at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas from 1993 to 2001 and Friends University in Wichita, Kansas from 2003 to 2016. Friends University is a private nondenominational Christian university in Wichita, Kansas. It was founded in 1898. The main building was originally built in 1886 for Garfield University but was donated in 1898 to the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) by James Davis, a St. Louis business man.
