2012 FIBA Under-17 World Championship For Women
The 2012 FIBA Under-17 World Championship for Women was an international basketball competition held in Amsterdam, Netherlands from August 17–26, 2012. It was the second edition of the Under-17 World Championships. After their win last year, the United States successfully defended their title by defeating Spain 75–62 in the final. Diamond DeShields
Diamond Danae-Aziza DeShields (born March 5, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She was drafted by the Chicago Sky with the third overall pick in the 2018 WNBA draft, and won a championship with the Sky in 2021. She is the daughter of former MLB player Delino DeShields and the younger sister of MLB player Delino DeShields Jr. College career DeShields graduated from Norcross High School in Norcross, Georgia. Playing for the school's basketball team, she was a part of three state champions and averaged 26 points per game in her senior year. DeShields enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she played guard for the North Carolina Tar Heels women's basketball team in her freshman year of college. Rebecca Greenwell
Rebecca Danielle Greenwell (born February 27, 1995) is an American basketball player. Early life Greenwell started playing for the Tennessee Flight, an AAU team, in seventh grade. She would go on to win three Nike Nationals championships with the program. High school career Greenwell attended Owensboro Catholic in Owensboro, Kentucky, where she was named to the Academic All-State team and set numerous school records. She missed her junior year after tearing her ACL at the 2011 FIBA 3x3 Under-18 World Championships. Returning for her senior season, Greenwell hit 17 3-pointers against Whitesville Trinity, breaking a national high school girls basketball record. After narrowing her list down to two, she chose to play basketball for Joanne P. McCallie at Duke University. Kim Hee-jin (; born 29 April 1991) is a South Korean volleyball player. She is a member of the South Korea women's national volleyball team at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2016 Summer Olympics and 2020 Summer Olympics. The team finished at fourth place in 2012, 2020 and fifth in 2016. Kim has been a member of the Hwaseong IBK Altos since the team's inaugural season, 2010–2011. Cecilia Zandalasini (; born 16 March 1996) is an Italian basketball player for Virtus Bologna of the Italian LBF and the Italian national team. Kia Nurse (born February 22, 1996) is a Canadian basketball player for the Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA. She is also a basketball analyst featured on TSN.
