2012 Edmonton Eskimos Season
The 2012 Edmonton Eskimos season was the 55th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 64th overall. The Eskimos finished in 4th place in the West Division with a 7–11 record but still managed to make the playoffs for the second straight season via the CFL's "crossover" rule. Kavis Reed
Kavis Reed (born February 24, 1973) is a former Canadian Football League (CFL) defensive back, head coach and general manager. He was most recently the GM of the Montreal Alouettes from December 2016 until July 2019. He also served three years as the head coach of the Edmonton Eskimos, leading them to one West Final game. He played professionally as a defensive back for the Eskimos from 1995 to 1999. Playing career Reed played for the Edmonton Eskimos from 1995 to 1999. He was named a CFL All-Star in 1997 and played in his first and only Grey Cup which was a loss to the Toronto Argonauts. In the following off-season, he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in February 1998 but soon after re-joined the Eskimos in August 1998. He suffered a career-ending neck injury in 1999 and retired soon after. He finished his professional playing career with 205 tackles, 20 interceptions, and five touchdowns in 67 games played. Saint Mary's Huskies
The Saint Mary's Huskies are the men's and women's athletic teams that represent Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Their primary home turf is Huskies Stadium located in the centre of the University's campus. In September 2007, Saint Mary's announced the plans to build the new Homburg Centre for Health & Wellness that will comprise the current gymnasium (The Tower), the new Dauphinee Arena, and a new building to connect the two. The centre is to be named after Richard Homburg, who provided a $5 million gift to the project, the largest gift the university had received in its 205-year history. The Dauphinee Arena, completed in 2019, has an NHL-sized ice surface and a seating capacity for 875. BC Lions
The BC Lions are a professional Canadian football team based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Lions compete in the West Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL), and play their home games at BC Place. The Lions played their first season in 1954, and have played every season since, making them the oldest professional sports franchise in British Columbia. Ryan King (born April 21, 1988) is a former Canadian football long snapper who played for eight seasons for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The Saskatchewan Roughriders are a professional Canadian football team based in Regina, Saskatchewan. The Roughriders compete in the Canadian Football League (CFL) as a member club of the league's West Division. The Roughriders were founded in 1910 as the Regina Rugby Club. Xavier Fulton
Xavier Allen Fulton (born April 18, 1986) is a Canadian football offensive tackle. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football at Illinois. Fulton has also been a member of the Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco 49ers, and Washington Redskins. He was the starting left tackle, converted from a defensive end, for the Illinois Fighting Illini football team for which he also played in the 2008 Rose Bowl. Shane Bergman (born February 9, 1990) is a retired Canadian football offensive lineman who played in seven seasons for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is a two-time Grey Cup champion having won in 2014 and 2018 and was a CFL-All Star in 2019. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are a professional Canadian football team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Eric Wilbur (born December 12, 1984) is an American former college and professional football player who was a punter in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for two seasons. Wilbur played college football for the University of Florida. He was signed by the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2007, and has also played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL.
