The 2012 Carlton Football Club season was the Carlton Football Club's 149th season of competition, and 116th as a member of the Australian Football League. After a strong start to the season which had Carlton sitting as premiership favourites after six weeks, performances declined and the team finished tenth out of eighteen teams in the 2012 AFL season, missing the finals for the first time since 2008 and resulting in the dismissal of senior coach Brett Ratten. Carlton Football Club
The Carlton Football Club, nicknamed the Blues, is a professional Australian rules football club that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's top professional competition. Paul Williams (Australian Rules Footballer)
Paul Williams (born 3 April 1973) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club and the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is also a former assistant coach in the AFL, which most notably included a brief period as caretaker coach of the Western Bulldogs towards the end of the 2011 season. Andrew Walker (born 18 May 1986) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played with the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Andrew has Indigenous Australian heritage and his tribal ancestry can be traced to the Yorta Yorta. Michael Jamison
Michael Jamison (born 11 June 1986) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Jamison is a key defender, particularly good against leading players, who has played for several years at the North Ballarat Football Club, with his under-18s football at the North Ballarat Rebels, and then reserves and seniors with the Roosters. Bryce Gibbs (Australian Rules Footballer)
Bryce Gibbs (born 15 March 1989) is a retired professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club and the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Pre-AFL Gibbs was an exceptional youth talent, which led to much speculation about his ultimate AFL drafting. In 2004 he won Glenelg's Under 17s best and fairest award, despite spending part of the season playing SANFL reserve grade. Marc Murphy (born 19 July 1987) is a retired Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited with the first overall selection in the 2005 AFL draft and served as the captain of Carlton from the 2013 season to 2018. He is the son of John Murphy. Jordan Russell (born 6 November 1986) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club and the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League. Russell was recruited as the number 9 draft pick in the 2004 AFL Draft from West Adelaide. Andrew Carrazzo (born 15 December 1983) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Jarrad Waite (born 4 February 1983) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club and North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Kade Simpson (born 5 May 1984) is a former Australian rules footballer who played his entire career with the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Andrew Ian McKay (born 14 July 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL) and Glenelg Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Steven Icke
Steven Icke (born 7 March 1956) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for North Melbourne and Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Originally from Federal Football League club Noble Park, Icke was a versatile player, usually seen at half forward or half back. He was a premiership player with North Melbourne in 1977 and at the end of the 1981 season moved to the Melbourne Demons. In his debut season he won the Keith 'Bluey' Truscott Medal for Melbourne's best and fairest player.
