2012 Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Season
The 2012 Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs season was the 78th in the club's history. Coached by Des Hasler and captained by Michael Ennis, they competed in the National Rugby League's 2012 Telstra Premiership, finishing the regular season in 1st place to take the minor premiership. They then won both of their finals matches to reach the 2012 NRL Grand final but were defeated by the Melbourne Storm. Season summary Having just won the 2011 NRL Grand final with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles, coach Des Hasler left the club to be head coach of the Bulldogs. Under the NRL's revised final eight system, the Bulldogs only played two home finals matches, winning both of them to reach the grand final. The club were the first in almost 50 years to win all three minor premierships, however none of the three teams were able to win a grand final. Todd Greenberg
Todd Greenberg (born 2 July 1971) is an Australian rugby league administrator who was Chief Executive Officer of the NRL between March 2016 and April 2020. Background Greenberg was born in 1971 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He is Jewish. He went to high school at Sydney Tech. His grandfather, Dr Les Greenberg, was the first medical officer to the New South Wales Rugby League. Career Greenberg represented Australia in cricket at two editions of the Maccabiah Games, an international multi-sport event for Jewish athletes. Greenberg completed a sports science degree at the University of New South Wales and a part-time master's degree at University of Technology Sydney. Between 1993 and 1998 Greenberg worked for Cricket NSW as Events & Promotions Manager. Greenberg joined the NRL club Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in 2001 as Operations and Events Manager. Stadium Australia, currently known as Accor Stadium for sponsorship purposes, is a multi-purpose stadium located in the Sydney Olympic Park, in Sydney, Australia. The stadium, which in Australia is sometimes referred to as Sydney Olympic Stadium, Homebush Stadium or simply the Olympic Stadium, was completed in March 1999 at a cost of A$690 million to host the 2000 Summer Olympics. Penrith Stadium (known commercially as BlueBet Stadium) is a rugby league and association football stadium located in Penrith, New South Wales, Australia. The 22,500 capacity venue is the home ground for the Penrith Panthers who play in the National Rugby League (NRL). Penrith Panthers
The Penrith Panthers are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the western Sydney suburb of Penrith that competes in the NRL. The team is based west of the centre of Sydney, at the foot of the Blue Mountains. Penrith are the current reigning NRL Premiers, having won the title four times. Belmore Sports Ground, formerly known as Belmore Oval, is a multi-purpose stadium in Belmore, New South Wales, Australia. The park covers and from 1951 has contained the Belmore Bowling Recreation Club green. It is close to Belmore railway station.
