2012 All-SEC Football Team
The 2012 All-SEC football team consists of American football players selected to the All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) chosen by various selectors for the 2012 Southeastern Conference football season. The Alabama Crimson Tide won the conference, beating the Georgia Bulldogs 32 to 28 in the SEC Championship. The Crimson Tide then won a national championship, defeating the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 42 to 14 in the 2013 BCS National Championship Game. Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, a unanimous AP selection, won the Heisman Trophy, the first freshman to do so, and was unanimously voted the SEC Offensive Player of the Year by both AP and the coaches. 2012 Southeastern Conference Football Season
The 2012 Southeastern Conference football season began on August 30 with South Carolina visiting Vanderbilt, and concluded with the BCS National Championship Game on January 7, 2013. It was also the first season of play for former Big 12 Conference members Texas A&M and Missouri. South Carolina Gamecocks Football
The South Carolina Gamecocks football program represents the University of South Carolina. The Gamecocks compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference. The team's head coach is Shane Beamer. They play their home games at Williams–Brice Stadium. Travis Swanson (born January 30, 1991) is a former American football center. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Arkansas. Barrett A. Jones (born May 25, 1990) is a former American football guard. He played college football at Alabama, and was drafted by the Rams in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Early years Jones was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He attended Evangelical Christian School in Memphis, where he played for the Evangelical Christian Eagles high school football team. Ryan Swope (born September 20, 1990) is a former American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2013 NFL Draft. College career As a sophomore at Texas A&M in 2010, Swope and Jeff Fuller both broke Rod Bernstine’s 24 year-old school single-season receptions record with 72. As a junior the following season, Swope broke his own record for receptions and set the record for single-season receiving yards with 89 catches for 1,207 yards. Todd Gurley
Todd Jerome Gurley II (born August 3, 1994) is an American former football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for six seasons, primarily with the Los Angeles Rams.
