2011–12 UNLV Runnin' Rebels Basketball Team
The 2011–12 UNLV Runnin' Rebels men's basketball team represented the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The team was coached by Dave Rice, in his first year with the Runnin' Rebels. They played their home games at the Thomas & Mack Center on UNLV's main campus in Las Vegas, Nevada and are a member of the Mountain West Conference. UNLV's season ended with 26–9 overall, and 9–5 in MWC Play, placing third. They lost in the semifinals of the Mountain West Basketball tournament by New Mexico. Dave Rice (basketball)
David Wayne Rice (born August 29, 1968) is an American college basketball coach and is the former head men's basketball coach at UNLV where he ranks as the program's third-winningest coach. He spent the 2016-2017 season as an assistant coach at the University of Nevada, Reno, and an assistant coach at the University of Washington for the past three seasons (2017–present). Rice has served as a Division I assistant coach for 22 seasons. His first 11 seasons as a college assistant he spent at UNLV with those teams tallying 205 wins during thatime In his most recent 11 seasons as an assistant coach, Rice has worked at Utah State, BYU, Nevada and Washington. Bryce Jones
Bryce Alexander Dejean-Jones (August 21, 1992 – May 28, 2016) was an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Iowa State University after stints with USC and UNLV, and played professionally for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Dejean-Jones was fatally shot after breaking into an apartment, having wrongly believed it to be that of his girlfriend. Coronado High School (CHS) is a public high school in Coronado, California. It is the only high school in the Coronado Unified School District. The California Department of Education gave it a California Distinguished School award in 2011 and two Model Continuation High School awards in 2014 and 2018. Mojave High School
Mojave High School, is a nine-month public high school that is part of Clark County School District located in North Las Vegas, Nevada. After a year of sharing a campus at Cheyenne High School on a "double session" schedule where Cheyenne students attended from 6 am to 12 pm and Mojave students attended 1 pm to 7 pm (while Mojave was under construction), the inaugural class, class of 2000, were the only class to not have an upper-class.
