2011–12 NC State Wolfpack Men's Basketball Team
The 2011–12 NC State Wolfpack men's basketball team represented NC State University in the 2011–12 men's college basketball season. The team was led by Mark Gottfried and played its home games at the RBC Center in Raleigh, NC as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 24-13 overall, 9-7 in ACC play, finishing in a three-way tie for fourth place. As a No. 5 seed in the 2012 ACC men's basketball tournament, they defeated Boston College in the first round and Virginia in the quarterfinals before falling to North Carolina in the semifinals. Mark Gottfried
Mark Frederick Gottfried (born January 20, 1964) is an American men's college basketball coach and former player who most recently served as head coach of the Cal State Northridge Matadors Gottfried played one season at Oral Roberts and three seasons at Alabama, advancing to the Sweet Sixteen in each of his seasons with the Crimson Tide. He spent eight seasons as an assistant coach at UCLA, including the team's 1995 NCAA championship season, three years as head coach at Murray State, eleven years as head coach at Alabama, and six seasons at North Carolina State. Early years Gottfried was born in Crestline, Ohio. He played varsity basketball at Carterville High School in Carterville, Illinois, and Carbondale High School in Carbondale, Illinois. Jordan Vandenberg
Jordan Vandenberg (born 25 March 1990) is an Australian professional basketball player for the McKinnon Cougars of the Big V. He played four seasons of college basketball for North Carolina State University. He also holds a Dutch passport because of his father. He also has a famous brother called Taylor Vandenberg who plays down at the Waverley Basketball Association Early life Born in Melbourne, Vandenberg played junior basketball for the Waverley Falcons and attended Box Hill Senior Secondary College. Reynolds Coliseum
William Neal Reynolds Coliseum is a multi-purpose arena located in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States, on the campus of North Carolina State University. The arena was built to host a variety of events, including agricultural expositions and NC State basketball games. It is now home to all services of ROTC and several Wolfpack teams, including women's basketball, women's volleyball, women's gymnastics, and men's wrestling. Their head coach was Rick Barnes, who was in his 14th year. The team played its home games at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas and are members of the Big 12 Conference. Izod Center
Meadowlands Arena (formerly Brendan Byrne Arena, Continental Airlines Arena and Izod Center) is a closed indoor arena facility located in the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, United States. The arena is located on New Jersey Route 120 across the highway from MetLife Stadium and the Meadowlands Racetrack, next to the American Dream shopping and entertainment complex. The arena, which opened in 1981, was originally built to accommodate the New Jersey Nets basketball team.
