The 2011–12 NBB Cup was the 44th season of the Dutch NBB Cup. The championship game was played in the Topsportcentrum (Almere). Zorg en Zekerheid Leiden won the cup, Magixx playing for KidsRights was the runner-up. Topsportcentrum Almere
The Topsportcentrum is an indoor sports arena, located in Almere, Netherlands. Designed by architectural studio ZJA, it opened on the 7th of October in 2007. Its operator is the city of Almere and its main hall has a capacity of 3,000 people. The sports it is used most for are volleyball and basketball, with VC Allvo and Almere Pioneers use the venue as their home arena. The hall was finished in 2007 and costed €14 million. From 2007 until 2013, the hall was used for the final of the NBB Cup, the main cup competition for men's basketball teams. Maurice Acker
Maurice Acker (born June 25, 1987) is an American professional basketball player for Lille Métropole BC. He was a standout college player for the Marquette Golden Eagles. He played high school basketball at Hillcrest High School, a teammate of Marquette alumni Jerel McNeal. He was drafted in the eighth round of the 2010 NBA D League Draft by the Bakersfield Jam, but was waived in November of that year. Markel Humphrey (born November 21, 1987) is an American basketball player who plays for BBC Monthey of the Swiss Basketball League. He usually plays as small forward or shooting guard. Professional career In 2009 Humphrey signed with Matrixx Magixx, a team based in Nijmegen, Netherlands. He extended his contract after his first season. Thomas V. "T. J." Jackson (born May 27, 1980) is an American professional basketball coach, and a former professional basketball player. Patrick Silvester Hilliman (born 17 April 1982) is a Dutch retired basketball player. In his career, Hilliman played for Dutch Basketball League (DBL) clubs Rotterdam Challengers and ZZ Leiden. From 2007 till 2011, Hilliman played 30 games for the Dutch national basketball team. Career From 2005 till 2009 Patrick played in Spain for several teams in the lower divisions of the country. In 2009 Hilliman left Spain for Holland to go play for the Rotterdam Challengers. Seamus Boxley (born September 21, 1982) is a former American former professional basketball player. Boxley played the power forward position. He played college basketball for Portland State, and after that spent time playing professionally in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Ukraine and Belgium. Career On July 2, 2013 Boxley signed with BC Goverla. His contract was dissolved in March 2014 because of the 2014 Ukrainian revolution.
