Macclesfield Town F
Macclesfield is a market town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England. It is located on the River Bollin in the east of the county, on the edge of the Cheshire Plain, with Macclesfield Forest to its east; it is south of Manchester and east of Chester. Before the Norman Conquest, Macclesfield was held by Edwin, Earl of Mercia and was assessed at £8. The manor is recorded in the ''Domesday Book'' as "Maclesfeld", meaning "Maccel's open country". The medieval town grew up on the hilltop around what is now St Michael's Church. It was granted a charter by Edward I in 1261, before he became king. Macclesfield Grammar School was founded in 1502. The town had a silk-button industry from at least the middle of the 17th century and became a major silk-manufacturing centre from the mid-18th century. Shaun Brisley
Shaun Richard Brisley (born 6 May 1990) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for club Buxton. He began his career at Macclesfield Town and quickly became a first-team regular after he made his senior debut in March 2008, going on to make 142 league and cup appearances in just under 4 years. He joined Peterborough United on an initial loan deal in February 2012, which was made permanent three months later. He won the Football League Trophy with the club in 2014 and scored in the final. He was loaned out to Scunthorpe United, Northampton Town and Leyton Orient, before he joined Carlisle United on a free transfer in July 2016. Anthony "Tony" Diagne (born 7 September 1990) is a French footballer who plays as a defender. Career Born in Aubergenville, Yvelines, Diagne started his career playing in the youth teams at Nottingham Forest. On 2 June 2010 he was released by Forest and went back to France to play for his local side Aubervilliers in the Championnat de France amateur. He stayed there for half a year until in January 2011 he was signed by Football League Two side Macclesfield Town. He made his debut for Macclesfield on 1 February 2011 in a 4–2 defeat to Bury, coming on as a second-half substitute. Arnaud Mendy (born 10 February 1990) is a former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He started his career in France with Rouen, he went on to play professionally for Derby County, Grimsby Town, Tranmere Rovers, Macclesfield Town, Luton Town and Lincoln City. Colin Alan Daniel (born 15 February 1988) is an English footballer who plays for club Worksop Town. Primarily a left-sided defender, he can also play as a winger, wing-back, or forward. He began his career with non-League Eastwood Town, before winning a move to Crewe Alexandra in July 2007. Mark Paul Thomas Morgan (born 23 October 1978) is a Northern Irish former professional footballer Present: Head of Medical and Physiotherapy at Preston North End and the Northern Ireland national football team U19. Morgan played as a defender in a career lasted from 1997 until 2012, starting out with Preston North End in the 1997–98 campaign.
