Crewe Alexandra F
Crewe () is a railway town and civil parishes in England, civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England. The Crewe built-up area had a total population of 75,556 in 2011, which also covers parts of the adjacent civil parishes of Willaston, Cheshire East, Willaston, Shavington cum Gresty and Wistaston. Crewe is perhaps best known as a large railway junction and home to Crewe Works; for many years, it was a major railway engineering facility for manufacturing and overhauling locomotives, but now much reduced in size. From 1946 until 2002, it was also the home of Rolls-Royce Motors, Rolls-Royce motor car production. The Pyms Lane factory on the west of the town now exclusively produces Bentley motor cars. The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world. Alan Andrew Martin (born 1 January 1989) is a Scottish footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for Gibraltar Football League club St Joseph's. Martin has previously played for Motherwell, Leeds United, Barrow, Accrington Stanley, Ayr United, Crewe Alexandra, Aldershot Town, Clyde, Hamilton Academical, Dumbarton, Queen of the South, East Kilbride and Edinburgh City. Byron Moore
Byron Curtis Moore (born 24 August 1988) is an English professional footballer who plays for club AFC Telford United. He can play as a winger or as a forward, and has also been utilised as a wing-back. A graduate of the Crewe Alexandra Academy, he made his senior debut for Crewe Alexandra in August 2007. He went on to spend the next seven years with the club, twice playing at Wembley Stadium as he helped the "Railwaymen" to win promotion out of League Two via the play-offs in 2012 and then to go on and lift the League Trophy in 2013. Jay Leitch-Smith (born 6 March 1990), known as A-Jay Leitch-Smith, is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Hyde United. A graduate of the Academy at Crewe Alexandra, he played on loan for Halifax Town, Newcastle Town, ÍBV (Iceland), and Curzon Ashton. He spent six years with Crewe, winning the League Two play-offs in 2012 and the League Trophy in 2013. Shaun Robert Miller (born 25 September 1987) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Kidsgrove Athletic. Miller began his career at Crewe Alexandra before moving to Sheffield United in 2012 and Coventry City in 2014. He also spent time on loan at Witton Albion, Shrewsbury Town and York City. He was released by Coventry in 2015 before signing for Morecambe. Luke John Murphy (born 21 October 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Northern Premier League Division One West side Macclesfield. He is a product of Crewe Alexandra's academy. He was Crewe captain prior to spending five years at Leeds United, with a loan spell at Burton Albion, and then two seasons at Bolton Wanderers, before returning to Crewe once again. Lee Bell
Lee Bell (born 26 January 1983) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is currently manager of Crewe Alexandra. He began his career at Crewe Alexandra, also playing for Burton Albion, Mansfield Town and Macclesfield Town, before returning in succession to Crewe, Burton Albion and latterly Macclesfield Town on loan from Burton. Adam Dugdale
Adam Dugdale (born 12 September 1987) is a retired English footballer who played as a defender Career Liverpool-born Dugdale, is a product of Crewe Alexandra's youth academy, playing one first team game before being released in 2007. He then played in non-league with Southport, Droylsden, Barrow and AFC Telford, before rejoining Crewe on 23 June 2010, signing an initial six-month deal. Dugdale signed for Tranmere Rovers on a one-month emergency loan deal on 30 August 2013. Some 16 months later, in January 2015, after over 100 league appearances for Crewe, he rejoined Rovers on a six-month deal. David John Artell (born 22 November 1980) is a professional football manager and former player who most recently was manager of club Crewe Alexandra. He began his career as a centre back with Rotherham United, as the "Millers" won successive promotions from the Third Division to the First Division in 1999–2000 and 2000–01. Ashley Roy Westwood (born 1 April 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for MLS club Charlotte FC. Westwood's first club was Crewe Alexandra, where he spent his first season on loan at his hometown club Nantwich Town from the Northern Premier League Premier Division. After five seasons and 128 league appearances in League One and League Two for Crewe, Westwood joined Premier League club Aston Villa in Birmingham where he scored his first Premier League goal in his second season with them.
