2011–12 Boise State Broncos Men's Basketball Team
The 2011–12 Boise State Broncos men's basketball team represented Boise State University during the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Broncos, led by second-year head coach Leon Rice, played their home games at Taco Bell Arena and were first-year members of the Mountain West Conference. They finished the season 13–17, 3–11 in Mountain West play, to finish in a tie for last place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Mountain West Basketball tournament to San Diego State. Leon Rice
Leon Paul Rice (born November 25, 1963) is an American college basketball coach, and the head men's basketball coach at Boise State University of the Mountain West Conference. He replaced Greg Graham as head coach of the Broncos on March 26, 2010. In his first season, Rice led Boise State to the finals of the WAC tournament and to the semifinals of the College Basketball Invitational. He is the first Boise State head coach to win twenty games in two of his first three seasons and has twenty or more wins in nine of his twelve years. In 2013, he guided the Broncos to their first ever at-large bid to the NCAA tournament. In 2015, he led the Broncos to their only Mountain West regular season championship, Boise State's first conference title since 2008, and was named the MWC coach of the year. The Cal State Northridge Matadors men's basketball team is the men's college basketball program representing California State University, Northridge. The team currently competes in the Big West Conference of the NCAA's Division I. The Matadors' current (interim) head coach is Trent Johnson. History Until 1972, the school and its teams were known as San Fernando Valley State College. The Matadors played their home games at local high schools until Matador Gymnasium was completed, before the start of the 1962–63 season. The MountainWest Sports Network, also known as The Mtn. (stylized as the mtn.), was an American college sports television channel.
