2011 Women's U-19 European Handball Championship
The 2011 Women's U-19's European Handball Championship is the eighth edition of the continental handball event for this age group, and the fourth under its new name, that is being held between 4 and 14 August in the Netherlands. Norway entered the championship as title holders, after beaten 2009 hosts Hungary 29–27 in the previous tournament's final. According to the competition regulations, only players born on or after 1 January 1992 are eligible to participate. Denmark won the championship for the third time, beating first time finalists Netherlands in the decisive match 29–27. Venues Five cities have been selected to stage the championship. In Almelo, Maastricht and Leek will only be held preliminary and main round matches. In Arnhem, where hosts Netherlands play their preliminary group, will also be held main round clashes and the placement matches 9–16. Lois Abbingh
Lois Abbingh (born 13 August 1992) is a Dutch female professional handballer who plays as a left back for Odense Håndbold and the Netherlands women's national handball team, Dutch national team. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Career In 2011, she was a key player of the Dutch team that reached the final of the 2011 Women's 19 European Handball Championship, Women's 19 European Championship, just to fell short against Denmark in a close battle to 27–29. Abbingh scored 65 goals in the tournament and won the top scorer's award. Daria Dmitrieva (handballer)
Daria Evgenyevna Dmitrieva (russian: Дарья Евгеньевна Дмитриева; born 9 August 1995) is a Russian female handballer, who plays for RK Krim and Russian national team. Biography Daria's father is a former ice hockey player. She trained under Irina Kos at Lada Togliatti, but when the coach decided to leave, Dmitrieva and some of her teammates joined the other Russian handball center in Volgograd. Daria was a 14-year-old when she made that decision in 2009. Dmitrieva and Anna Vyakhireva were considered the rising stars at the European Junior Championship. Dmitrieva was voted world's second best young playmaker of the 2013/2014 season by the Handball-Planet.com fans, after Deborah Nunes. In August 2021, she decided to take a break from her professional handball career, due to exhaustion. She returned to her club, HBC CSKA Moscow after missing the first half of the season. Marie Henriksen
Marie Henriksen (born 31 August 1993) is a former Norwegian handball player for the club Byåsen HE. She also represented Norway in the 2011 Women's Junior European Handball Championship, placing 12th. She was near a position on the Norwegian national team many times, but has been very unlucky with serious injuries in her young career. Spring 2016 she suffered her third serious injury in her right knee and in March 2017 she announced that she was forced to retire because of her injuries, at age 23. Yuliya Andriychuk ( uk, Юлія Андрійчук; born 17 May 1992) is a Ukrainian handballer playing in the Turkish Women's Handball Super League for Ardeşen GSK. She played for Ukrainian national team.
