2011 PDC World Youth Championship
The 2011 PDC Under-21 World Championship was the first edition of the PDC World Youth Championship, a tournament organised by the Professional Darts Corporation for darts players aged between 14 and 21. The knockout stages from the last 64 to the semi-finals were played in Barnsley on 16 November 2010, and were not broadcast live on TV. The final took place on 3 January 2011, before the final of the 2011 PDC World Darts Championship, which was shown live on Sky Sports. The two finalists became PDC Pro Tour card holders for 2011 and 2012 and received sponsorship from Rileys Dart Zones. They also received invitations to the 2010 Grand Slam of Darts. Arron Monk defeated Michael van Gerwen 6–4 in the final to win the inaugural PDC World Youth Championship. Alexandra Palace
Alexandra Palace is a Grade II listed entertainment and sports venue in London, situated between Wood Green and Muswell Hill in the London Borough of Haringey. It is built on the site of Tottenham Wood and the later Tottenham Wood Farm. Originally built by John Johnson and Alfred Meeson, it opened in 1873 but following a fire two weeks after its opening, was rebuilt by Johnson. Ryan Harrington
Ryan Harrington (born 19 August 1990) is an English professional darts player from Essex. He is the son of former darts player Rod Harrington. Career He qualified for the 2015 UK Open in 56th on the UK Open order of merit so started in the second round. He beat Matt Padgett 5–0 in the second round but lost 6–9 to Dave Chisnall in the third round. He qualified for the 2016 UK Open where he reached the last 64 again after wins over Glen McGrandle and Darron Brown, before losing to eventual winner Michael van Gerwen. Leon Patrick Bailey (born 9 August 1997) is a Jamaican professional footballer who plays as a right winger for Premier League club Aston Villa and the Jamaica national team. Christopher Aubrey (born 16 December 1991 from Swindon, Wiltshire) is a former English professional darts player who competes in the Professional Darts Corporation events. Career Aubrey reached the first final of his career in 2011 at the fourth PDC Youth Tour event where he lost 4–2 against Paul Barham. Benito Van De Pas
Benito van de Pas (born 18 January 1993) is a Dutch professional darts player. Career BDO Van de Pas reached the semi-finals of the 2011 PDC Under-21 World Championship, losing 1-4 to Michael van Gerwen. Van de Pas won the 2011 German Open. This result helped him to qualify for the 2012 BDO World Darts Championship as the 14th seed. He lost 2-3 in the first round against Alan Norris. Martin Heneghan (born 19 September 1991) is an Irish professional darts player who currently plays in World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Teemu Harju
Teemu Harju is a Finnish professional darts player who currently plays in World Darts Championship (WDF) events. He won a silver medal at the WDF Europe Cup and represented Finland during the WDF World Cup and WDF Europe Cup. Career Harju was a prospective Finnish player.
