2011 Oklahoma State Cowboys Football Team
The 2011 Oklahoma State Cowboys football team represented Oklahoma State University in the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Cowboys were led by seventh year head coach Mike Gundy and played their home games at Boone Pickens Stadium. They are a member of the Big 12 Conference. The 2011 season was arguably the best in the Cowboys' 112-year football history. They opened the season with 10 straight wins, in the process rising to #2 in the AP Poll—the school's highest-ever ranking in a major poll. Mike Gundy
Michael Ray Gundy (born August 12, 1967) is an American football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at Oklahoma State University. Gundy played college football at Oklahoma State, where he played quarterback from 1986 to 1989. He became Oklahoma State's coach on January 3, 2005. Gundy and the University of Utah’s Kyle Whittingham are currently the second-longest tenured FBS coaches with one school, trailing only Kirk Ferentz. He is the longest-tenured in the Big 12 Conference. Playing career At Midwest City High School, Gundy played quarterback, and was voted Oklahoma Player of the Year in 1986. The Idaho Vandals are the college football team that represents the University of Idaho and plays its home games at the Kibbie Dome, an indoor facility on campus in Moscow, Idaho. Kasey Dunn
Kasey E. Dunn (born July 22, 1969) is an American football coach and former wide receiver who is currently the offensive coordinator at Oklahoma State University. Playing career Dunn was a wide receiver at Idaho from 1987 to 1991. An eleventh hour commit, Idaho was the only scholarship offer Dunn received to play college football. As of 2020, he still holds program records for career receptions (287) and career receiving yards (3,847), while also being inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in 2007. An offensive coordinator is a member of the coaching staff of an American football or Canadian football team who is in charge of the team's offense.
