2011 NPSL Season
The 2011 National Premier Soccer League season was the 9th season of the NPSL. The regular season began on April 1, 2011, and ended on July 17. The playoffs concluded with the NPSL Championship Game, which was held at the home of Rocket City United in Madison, Alabama on July 30. Jacksonville United ended the season as national champions, beating the Hollywood United Hitmen 3-2 in the 2011 NPSL Championship game. Jacksonville were the lowest seeded-team in the playoffs, having finished champions of the Southeast Division with a 6-0-4 record after starting their campaign with four straight losses, and beat number one seed and Northeast Division champions Erie Admirals on their way to the final. Both Jacksonville and Hollywood were first-year NPSL teams, although Hollywood had previously spent two seasons playing in the USL Premier Development League. National Premier Soccer League
The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is an American men's association football, soccer league. The NPSL is a semi-professional league, comprising some teams that have paid players and some that are entirely amateur. The league is officially affiliated to the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) and has automatic qualification for the U.S. Open Cup. It is the successor of the Men's Premier Soccer League, a regional league originally based in the Western United States, which has now expanded nationwide to encompass teams from 29 states. The league's motto is "A National League with a Regional Focus". Competition format The National Premier Soccer League is divided into four separate regions (Northeast, South, Midwest, and West). FC Hasental is an American association football, soccer team based in Thousand Oaks, California, United States. Founded in 2005, the team plays in the Southwest Division of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid.
