2011 MAC Women's Basketball Tournament
The 2011 Mid-American Conference women's basketball tournament was the post-season basketball tournament for the Mid-American Conference (MAC) 2010–11 college basketball season. The 2011 tournament was held March 5–12, 2011. Second seeded Bowling Green won the championship over fifth seeded Eastern Michigan. Lauren Prochaska of Bowling Green was the MVP. Format The top four seeds received byes into the quarterfinals. The winners of each division were awarded the #1 and #2 seeds. The team with the best record of the two receives the #1 seed. First round games will be played on campus sites at the higher seed. The remaining rounds were held at Quicken Loans Arena. Curt Miller (born October 6, 1968) is an American basketball coach, currently the head coach of the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women's National Basketball Association, WNBA. He previously served as the head coach of the Connecticut Sun from 2016-2022 and Bowling Green State University from 2001–2012 and Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana University from 2012–2014, and spent one season as an assistant to Brian Agler with the Los Angeles Sparks. The Mid-American Conference (MAC) is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I collegiate athletic conference with a membership base in the Great Lakes region that stretches from Western New York to Illinois. The 2010–11 Ohio Bobcats women's basketball team represented Ohio University during the 2010–11 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The 2010–11 Mid-American Conference women's basketball season began with practices in October 2010, followed by the start of the 2010–11 NCAA Division I women's basketball season in November. Conference play began in January 2011 and concluded in March 2011. Toledo won the regular season title with a record of 14–2 by one game over Bowling Green. Kourtney Brown of Buffalo was named MAC player of the year. Second seeded Bowling Green won the MAC tournament over fifth seeded Eastern Michigan. Lauren Prochaska of Bowling Green was the tournament MVP. Bowling Green lost to Georgia Tech in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
