2011 German Figure Skating Championships
The 2011 German Figure Skating Championships (german: Deutsche Meisterschaften im Eiskunstlaufen 2011) took place on January 7–9, 2011 at the Eissportzentrum Oberstdorf in Oberstdorf. 2010–11 Figure Skating Season
The 2010–11 figure skating season began on July 1, 2010, and ended on June 30, 2011. During this season, elite skaters competed on the ISU Championship level at the 2011 European, Four Continents, World Junior, and World Championships. They also competed in elite competitions such as the Grand Prix series and Junior Grand Prix series, culminating in the Grand Prix Final. Season notes This was the first season in which the short dance was contested in ice dance, having replaced the compulsory dance and original dance. The season's required pattern dance was the Golden Waltz (senior) or Viennese Waltz (junior), and the other portion of the dance could be a waltz, foxtrot, quickstep, or tango. Robin Szolkowy
Robin Szolkowy (born 14 July 1979) is a retired German pair skater. With partner Aliona Savchenko, he is the 2010 and 2014 Olympic bronze medalist, a five-time World champion (2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014), a four-time European champion (2007–2009, 2011), a four-time Grand Prix Final champion (2007, 2010, 2011, 2013), and an eight-time German national champion (2004–2009, 2011, 2014). Savchenko and Szolkowy scored the first 10.0 ever given by a judge under the ISU Judging System. Personal life Szolkowy was born in Greifswald, Rostock district, East Germany. Shari Koch
Shari Koch (born 23 September 1993) is a German former competitive ice dancer. With skating partner Christian Nüchtern, she is the 2014 Bavarian Open silver medalist, 2017 Winter Universiade bronze medalist, and 2019 German national champion. Career Koch started learning to skate in 1999. She and Nüchtern made their international debut at the 2008 NRW Trophy. They placed in the top ten at the 2012 and 2013 World Junior Championships and won the German junior national title three times (2011–13). Koch/Nüchtern won their first senior international medal, silver, at the 2014 Bavarian Open. Amani Fancy
Amani Fancy (born 14 July 1997) is an English pair skater. With former skating partner Christopher Boyadji, she is the 2015 CS Tallinn Trophy bronze medalist and a two-time British national champion (2014 and 2016). After that she was a pro ice-skater on the German TV show Dancing On Ice (2019). Personal life Amani Fancy was born on 14 July 1997 in London, England. She lived in Oman as a child. Martin Rappe (born 10 July 1993) is a German former figure skater. He is the 2014 CS Ice Challenge bronze medalist, 2014 Hellmut Seibt Memorial champion, 2012 Bavarian Open silver medalist, and 2012 German national bronze medalist. Stefano Caruso (born 19 April 1987) is a former competitive ice dancer with dual German and Italian citizenship. Representing Germany with Tanja Kolbe, he won seven international medals and two German national silver medals. They placed eighth at the 2013 European Championships and competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics, finishing 19th. Earlier in his career, Caruso competed for Italy with Isabella Pajardi. Tim Giesen (born 26 July 1988) is a German former competitive ice dancer. With Stefanie Frohberg, he placed 11th at the 2010 World Junior Championships and competed at two Grand Prix events. Career Giesen began learning to skate in 1995. Initially a single skater, he switched to ice dancing when he was eleven years old. He skated with Frauke Stein before teaming up with Saskia Brall. With Tim Giesen, she placed 11th at the 2010 World Junior Championships and competed at two Grand Prix events. Career Frohberg began learning to skate in 1996. Florian Just
Florian Just (born 28 February 1982 in Nürnberg) is a German former competitive pair skater. With Mari Vartmann, he won four senior international medals and finished seventh at two European Championships. He also won four international medals with Katharina Gierok. Career Early career Florian Just began ice skating at the age of five at EC Nürnberg while also practicing artistic roller skating. He appeared on the Junior Grand Prix (JGP) circuit as a single skater. During the 1999 JGP series, he won gold in Zagreb, Croatia, and placed fourth at his second assignment, in Ostrava, Czech Republic. He qualified for the JGP Final, where he finished seventh.
