2011 Dutch National Track Championships – Women's Keirin
The women's keirin at the 2011 Dutch National Track Championships in Apeldoorn took place at Omnisport Apeldoorn on December 29, 2011. 13 athletes participated in the contest. Willy Kanis won the gold medal, Yvonne Hijgenaar took silver and Shanne Braspennincx Shanne Braspennincx (born 18 May 1991) is a Dutch track cyclist. She competed at the 2014 and 2015 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. She won the gold medal in the keirin race at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Career Results ;2012 :3rd Team Spr ... won the bronze. Competition format The Keirin races involved 5.5 laps of the track behind a motorcycle, followed by a 2.5 lap sprint to the finish. The tournament consisted of a semi-finals round, repechages and the finals. The top two cyclists in each semi-final advanced to the final, with the rest of the cyclists competing again in the repechage. Kirsten Wild
Kirsten Carlijn Wild (born 15 October 1982) is a Dutch former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2004 and 2021, for eight professional teams. During her track cycling career, Wild rode at the Summer Olympic Games in 2012, 2016 and 2020, winning a bronze medal at the latter Games, in the omnium. She won eighteen medals including nine golds at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships, and eighteen medals including eight golds at the UEC European Track Championships.
