2010–11 Gonzaga Bulldogs Men's Basketball Team
The 2010–11 Gonzaga Bulldogs men's basketball team represented Gonzaga University in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bulldogs are members of the West Coast Conference, and were led by head coach Mark Few. They played their home games at the McCarthey Athletic Center on the university campus in Spokane, Washington. The team lost the 2010 WCC Player of the Year Matt Bouldin to graduation, but returned the rest of their starting lineup. Three of the returning players participated in the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey—Elias Harris for Germany and Kelly Olynyk and Robert Sacre for Canada. Mark Few
Mark Norman Few (born December 27, 1962) is an American college basketball coach who has been the head coach at Gonzaga University since 1999. He has served on Gonzaga's coaching staff since 1989, and has been a constant on the sidelines throughout a period that has seen the Bulldogs rise from mid-major obscurity to consistent NCAA tournament contenders. During his tenure as head coach, Few has led the Bulldogs to the NCAA Tournament every season (except 2019–20, when the team had secured an automatic bid but the tournament was canceled), a stretch that has garnered the Bulldogs recognition as a major basketball power despite playing in a mid-major conference. Kelly Olynyk
Kelly Tyler Olynyk ( ; born April 19, 1991) is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Gonzaga Bulldogs, where he earned NCAA All-American honors in 2013. After forgoing his senior year of college basketball, Olynyk was selected with the 13th overall pick by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2013 NBA draft, before being immediately traded to the Boston Celtics. In July 2017, he signed with the Miami Heat, with whom he reached the NBA Finals in 2020. In March 2021, Olynyk was traded to the Houston Rockets. Quincy is a city in Grant County, Washington, United States. The population was 7,543 at the 2020 census. History Geologic history Quincy lies atop a part of the Columbia River Basalt Group which is overlain by Pleistocene outburst flood deposits. In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. Bonney Lake, Washington
Bonney Lake is a city in Pierce County, Washington. The population was 22,487 at the time of the 2020 census. History Bonney Lake was incorporated as a town on February 28, 1949, after the establishment of a co-op venture to bring electricity and tap water service to local residents. Several unsuccessful attempts were made to disincorporate the town from 1952 to 1972. The City of Bonney Lake and the Greater Bonney Lake Historical Society placed in 13 historical markers between 2009 and 2015, including one for the Naches Trail, which was a well-used immigrant and military trail during the later half of the 1800s. The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five Basketball position, positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall.
