2010–11 East Tennessee State Buccaneers Men's Basketball Team
The 2010–11 East Tennessee State Buccaneers men's basketball team represented East Tennessee State University in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Buccaneers, led by head coach Murry Bartow, played their home games at ETSU/Mountain States Health Alliance Athletic Center in Johnson City, Tennessee, as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. The Buccaneers finished 2nd in the Atlantic Sun during the regular season, but lost in the second round of the Atlantic Sun tournament after being upset by sixth-seeded . East Tennessee State failed to qualify for the NCAA tournament, but were invited to the 2011 CIT. The Buccaneers advanced to the semifinals of the CIT, where they were eliminated by Iona, 85–74. Murry Bartow
Murry Linn Bartow (born August 18, 1961) is an American college basketball coach who most recently was the interim head coach for the UCLA Bruins. As the head coach of the East Tennessee State Buccaneers, he was twice named the conference coach of the year, first in the Southern Conference in 2004 and later in the Atlantic Sun Conference in 2007. Career UAB Bartow served as the head coach for his alma mater University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) from 1996 to 2002, succeeding his father Gene, the creator of the UAB Blazers men's basketball program. At UAB, he compiled a 103–83 overall record with a conference mark of 48–46 and one NCAA Tournament appearance. East Tennessee State Bartow was the men's head basketball coach at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) from 2003 to 2015. CFSB Center
The CFSB Center is an 8,600-seat arena located in Murray, Kentucky near the intersection of Ky. 121 and U.S. 641. The arena is the home of the Murray State Racers Basketball teams. It was previously known as the Regional Special Events Center, or "RSEC", until the name was changed on September 17, 2010 following a $3.3 million donation from Community Financial Services Bank to Murray State Athletics. While the CFSB Center is commonly used for basketball, it was designed as a multi-purpose facility that also frequently hosts concerts, trade shows, and conventions. 2010–11 Murray State Racers Men's Basketball Team
The 2010–11 Murray State Racers men's basketball team represented Murray State University in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, 2010–11 college basketball season. This was head coach Billy Kennedy (basketball coach), Billy Kennedy's fifth season at Murray State. The Racers competed in the Ohio Valley Conference and played their home games at the CFSB Center. They finished the season 23–8, 14–4 in OVC play to capture the regular season championship.
