2010–11 Coventry City F.C. Season
The 2010–11 season was Coventry City's 91st season in The Football League and their 10th consecutive season in the Football League Championship, giving them the second longest consecutive run in the division, behind only Preston North End. In addition to the Championship, The Sky Blues also entered the League Cup in the First Round, where they were eliminated and the FA Cup in the Third Round where they went on to be eliminated in the Fourth Round. Freddy Eastwood
Freddy Eastwood (born 29 October 1983) is a former professional footballer. He started his career with West Ham United and also played for Southend United, Grays Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Coventry City. He played eleven times in his international career for Wales. Club career West Ham United Eastwood began his career as a West Ham United Academy player after turning down a scholarship offer at Southend where he had been a promising youth player. Stephen Wright (English Footballer)
Stephen John Wright (born 8 February 1980) is an English former footballer who currently works for Liverpool Academy as a Coach. Club career Liverpool Born in Bootle, Liverpool, Wright joined Liverpool on a youth contract in June 1996, choosing to join Liverpool over rivals Everton, the club he supported as a boy. Wright turned professional a year later in August 1997, and the following season was named as an unused substitute for the UEFA Cup clash with Celta Vigo on 24 November 1998 alongside Steven Gerrard. Following two successful loan spells with Crewe Alexandra in the 1999–2000 season, Wright made his Liverpool debut in the 8–0 drubbing of Stoke City on 29 November 2000 in the League Cup, replacing Markus Babbel at half time. Lee Carsley
Lee Kevin Carsley (born 28 February 1974) is a former professional footballer who is head coach of England U21. In a playing career lasting 17 years, he is best remembered for his spells as a midfielder in the Premier League and Football League with Everton and Derby County. Born in Birmingham, England, Carsley represented the Republic of Ireland at international level. After retiring from playing in 2011, Carsley entered coaching with Coventry City. Michael Quirke
Michael James Quirke (born 10 September 1991) is a footballer who plays as a defender for Coventry United. A Coventry City youth product, he used to be a goalkeeper. Born in England, he made one appearance for the Republic of Ireland U21 national team in 2011. Club career Quirke, made his professional debut with Coventry City as a substitute on 14 August 2010 in a 2–2 Championship draw with Watford, coming on to replace injured Iain Turner after 18 minutes. The Coventry Building Society Arena (often shortened to the CBS Arena or just simply Coventry Arena, and formerly known as the Ricoh Arena) is a complex in Coventry, England. It includes a 32,609-seater stadium which is currently home to football team, Championship club Coventry City F.C. along with facilities which include a exhibition hall, a hotel and a casino. The site is also home to Arena Park Shopping Centre, containing one of UK's largest Tesco Extra hypermarkets. Matches
A match is a tool for starting a fire. Typically, matches are made of small wooden sticks or stiff paper. One end is coated with a material that can be ignited by friction generated by striking the match against a suitable surface. 2010–11 FA Cup
The 2010–11 FA Cup (known as The FA Cup sponsored by E.ON for sponsorship reasons) was the 130th season of the world's oldest football knockout competition; the FA Cup. A total of 806 clubs applied to enter of which 759 were accepted, a slight drop compared to the 762 clubs accepted into the 2009–10 competition. The competition commenced on 14 August 2010 with the Extra preliminary round and concluded on 14 May 2011 with the Final, held at Wembley Stadium. Unusually, this was not the last game of the English domestic season nor the only game played on that day. Wembley Stadium was also hosting the 2011 Champions League Final on 28 May, forcing the FA Cup Final to be played at least two weeks earlier. This meant the Final was played on the penultimate weekend of the Premier League season and, apart from the finalists who were scheduled to play a league match against each other, a full programme of matches was played.
