Dwayne Mattis
Dwayne Anthony Mattis (born 31 July 1981) is a former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Born in England, he made two appearances for the Republic of Ireland U21 national team. Career Mattis began his career as a trainee with Huddersfield Town, debuting on 1 May 1998 in the First Division match which Huddersfield drew 2–2 with Crystal Palace. Mattis came on as a 38th minute substitute for Jon Dyson. Mattis played his second match - the final game of 1998–99 - eight days later, but did not play again until the second game of 2001–02, more than two years later. However, this was the breakthrough season for Mattis, who played a total of 29 league matches that season. Another full season followed, but in 2003–04 Mattis played only five games, including just one full match - the 6–2 defeat at Scunthorpe United. Andrew Talbot (born 19 July 1986) is an English former professional footballer. A versatile player, Talbot predominantly played at right back or on the right wing. He occasionally played at left back and as a left winger, and could also be utilised as a striker. Career Born in Barnsley, Talbot started his career at Sheffield Wednesday, promoted through the academy in 2003–04. Often used as a substitute, he scored five goals in Wednesday's 2004–05 promotion season including one against Hartlepool in Cardiff in the Football League One play-off final. Scott David Boden (born 19 December 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Matlock Town. Career Boden was born in Streatham. In 2008, Boden was loaned out from Sheffield United to play five matches for IFK Mariehamn in the Finnish Premier Division. Boden left Åland for England and Chesterfield after his stint at the Mariehamn based club. In October 2011 Boden moved to Macclesfield Town on a one-month loan. Morecambe ( ) is a seaside town and civil parish in the City of Lancaster district in Lancashire, England. It is in Morecambe Bay on the Irish Sea. Name The first use of the name was by John Whitaker in his ''History of Manchester'' (1771), when he refers to the "æstury of Moricambe". It next appears four years later in ''Antiquities of Furness'', where the bay is described as "the Bay of Morecambe". That name is derived from the Roman name ''Moriancabris Æsturis'' shown on maps prepared for them by ''Claudius Ptolemœus'' (Ptolemy) from his original Greek maps. Macclesfield is a market town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England. It is located on the River Bollin in the east of the county, on the edge of the Cheshire Plain, with Macclesfield Forest to its east; it is south of Manchester and east of Chester. Before the Norman Conquest, Macclesfield was held by Edwin, Earl of Mercia and was assessed at £8. The manor is recorded in the ''Domesday Book'' as "Maclesfeld", meaning "Maccel's open country". Simon Gary Ford (born 17 November 1981) is a former professional footballer who played as a defender from 2001 to 2013. Having started his career with Charlton Athletic as a youngster, he transferred to Grimsby Town in 2001. He moved on to Bristol Rovers and Redbridge before establishing himself with Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock where he remained for six years. A penalty kick (commonly known as a penalty or a spot kick) is a method of restarting play in association football, in which a player is allowed to take a single shot at the goal while it is defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. It is awarded when an offence punishable by a direct free kick is committed by a player in their own penalty area. The shot is taken from the penalty mark, which is 11 m (12 yards) from the goal line and centred between the touch lines. Daniel Phillip Whitaker (born 14 November 1980) is an English former professional football player and manager who was recently the player-manager of club Macclesfield. A former Manchester United F.C., Manchester United Manchester United F.C. Reserves and Academy, Academy player, Whitaker turned professional with Macclesfield Town F.C., Macclesfield Town in 2001. He spent five years with the club, and made over 200 appearances in all competitions, before he switched to Port Vale F.C., Port Vale in June 2006.
