The 2010–11 AFC Bournemouth season is the club's first season back in Football League One after a two-year absence. During the 2010–11 English football season, Bournemouth participated in League One, the Johnstones Paint Trophy, the FA Cup, and the Football League Cup. Bournemouth were eliminated from the League Cup and the Johnstones Paint Trophy in the First Round and the FA Cup in the Second Round. AFC Bournemouth
AFC Bournemouth () is a professional association football club based in Kings Park, Boscombe, a suburb of Bournemouth, Dorset, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the highest division of English club football. Formed in 1899 as Boscombe, the club adopted their current name in 1971. Nicknamed "The Cherries", Bournemouth have played their home games at Dean Court since 1910. Their home colours are red and black striped shirts, with black shorts and socks, inspired by that of Italian club A.C. Milan. The club competed in regional football leagues before going up from the Hampshire League to the Southern League in 1920. Marvin Bartley
Marvin Clement Bartley (born 4 July 1986) is an English professional football coach and former player, who is currently the manager of Scottish League One club Queen of the South. Early in his career, Bartley played for English non-league clubs Burnham, Hayes, Didcot Town and Hampton & Richmond Borough. He broke into the professional leagues in 2007 with AFC Bournemouth, where he made over 100 Football League appearances. Soon after Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe moved to Burnley in 2011, Bartley followed Howe to Turf Moor. Bartley fell out of favour at Burnley after Howe returned to Bournemouth in October 2012. Stephen Purches
Stephen Robert Purches (born 14 January 1980 in Ilford, England) is an English retired footballer who played mostly for AFC Bournemouth over two spells. He also made over 100 appearances for Leyton Orient. When he retired from football he became the development coach then progressing to first team coach in 2017 at Bournemouth. Playing career Purches was a defender who could play at centre back, midfield or full back on either side. He was previously a trainee at West Ham United but left in 2000 after failing to make a single appearance for the first team. Harry Nicholas Arter (born 28 December 1989) is a professional footballer who plays as a central or defensive midfielder for club Nottingham Forest. Rhoys Barrie Wiggins (born 4 November 1987) is a former professional footballer who played as a left back. Wiggins began his career at Crystal Palace, from where he had his first spell on loan to AFC Bournemouth.
