2010 UTEP Miners Football Team
The 2010 UTEP Miners football team represented the University of Texas at El Paso in the 2010 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team's head coach was Mike Price, who served his seventh season at the post. The Miners played their home games at the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas and were members of Conference USA in the West Division. The Miners finished the regular season 6–6, 3–5 in C-USA play, and were invited to the New Mexico Bowl versus BYU. While UTEP lost the matchup, 52–24, the Miners improved upon their 4–8 record from the previous season. UTEP averaged 29,350 fans per game. Mike Price
Michael Bruce Price (born April 6, 1946) is a former American football coach. He was the head coach at Weber State College from 1981 to 1988, Washington State University from 1989 to 2002, and the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) from 2004 to 2012. Price returned to UTEP as interim head coach for the final seven games of the 2017 season. He was hired at the University of Alabama in December 2002, but was fired before coaching a game in 2003. Early years Born in Colorado, Price grew up in Everett, Washington, north of Seattle. He was the son of Walt Price, the longtime head football coach at Everett Junior College. At Everett High School, Price was a teammate of the son of Pinky Erickson, the head coach at cross-town rival Cascade High. Everett High was coached by Bill Dunn, a next-door neighbor of the Ericksons. 2010 Arkansas Razorbacks Football Team
The 2010 Arkansas Razorbacks football team represented the University of Arkansas in the 2010 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team played five home games at Razorback Stadium and two home games at War Memorial Stadium. Coach Bobby Petrino was in his third year with the Razorbacks. They were members of the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference. The Razorbacks finished the season 10–2, 6–2 in SEC play and earned a berth in the Sugar Bowl, their first major bowl appearance since playing in the 1990 Cotton Bowl Classic, where they were defeated by Ohio State by a 31–26 score. The 2010 SMU Mustangs football team represented Southern Methodist University in the 2010 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Legion Field
Legion Field is an outdoor stadium in the southeastern United States in Birmingham, Alabama, primarily designed to be used as a venue for American football, but occasionally used for other large outdoor events. Opened in 1927, it is named in honor of the American Legion, a U.S. organization of military veterans.
