2010 Star Mazda Championship Season
The 2010 Star Mazda Championship was the twelfth season of the Star Mazda Championship, an open wheel auto racing series that competes using spec chassis and engines. It was the third season under the sanctioning of the International Motor Sports Association and the first under the Indy Racing League's new Road to Indy ladder. Conor Daly became series champion after finishing in the top four positions in each of the twelve races prior to clinching the title at Mosport International Raceway. At the same meeting, Carlos Conde sealed the Masters title for drivers over 45 years of age, while J. W. Roberts secured the Expert title for drivers between 30 and 44 at Trois-Rivières. Star Mazda Championship
The USF Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires, formerly known as the Star Mazda Championship, Pro Mazda Championship, and later Indy Pro 2000 Championship, is an open-wheel racing series serving as the third step on the Road to Indy ladder system, between the U.S. F2000 Championship and Indy NXT. The series is sanctioned by the United States Auto Club and operated by Andersen Promotions. The series' champion is awarded a scholarship package to advance to Indy Lights competition for the following season. It competes on all open-wheel disciplines: road courses, street courses, and ovals. The series' primary sponsor is the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company via their Cooper Tires brand. Larry Pegram (born September 5, 1973 in Columbus, Ohio) is an American motorcycle racer. Racing history AMA Superbike Pegram has been in the AMA Superbike scene for over a decade, first entering the championship in 1996. In 2009 he had his best season finishing 4th overall with 3 wins and 5 podiums. Superbike World Championship Pegram made an appearance as a wildcard at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on July 13, 2014. Zack Meyer
Zack Meyer (born August 4, 1992) is a Canadian racing driver from Toronto. After karting, Meyer moved straight into the Star Mazda Championship for a one-off appearance in 2010. He made two appearances in 2011 for AIM Autosport. He raced a full season for AIM Autosport in 2012 and finished 15th in points with a best finish of ninth (three times). He returned to the series in 2013, which had changed its name to the Pro Mazda Championship. David Ostella
David Ostella (born October 8, 1991) is a Canadian racing driver from Maple, Ontario. After racing in various American and Canadian karting series, Ostella made his professional racing debut in Formula BMW Americas in 2008 for Eurointernational, finishing 9th in points. In 2009 he moved to the Star Mazda Series with AIM Autosport and finished 13th in points with one podium finish. In 2010 he returned to the series with AIM and improved to 12th in points. Chris Miller (born May 5, 1989) is an American racing driver from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is best known for winning in class at the 2016 24 Hours of Daytona and winning overall at the 2018 6 Hours of Watkins Glen. Mikhail "Misha" Goikhberg (born 24 November 1986), is a Russian-born Canadian race car driver who is best known for competing in the IMSA SportsCar Championship. Early career Goikhberg's first foray into driving happened in 2003 at the Russian track of Nevskoye Kolzo (The Neva Ring) with a Lada Cup Car under guidance of experienced Russian race car driver Aleksandr Lvov.
