The New Zealand rugby league season 2010 was the 103rd season of rugby league that was played in New Zealand. The main feature of the year was the new National Zonal competition run by the New Zealand Rugby League. The premier teams competed for the Albert Baskerville Trophy, which was won by Auckland rugby league team, Auckland when they defeated Counties Manukau rugby league team, Counties Manukau 14 - 6 in the Grand Final. International competitions Five test matches took place in New Zealand in 2010. First New Zealand hosted Samoa national rugby league team, Samoa in a warm up match to the 2010 Rugby League Four Nations, 2010 Four Nations, defeating them 50–6. 2009 New Zealand Rugby League Season
The 2009 New Zealand rugby league season was the 102nd season of rugby league that had been played in New Zealand. The main feature of the year was the second season of the Bartercard Premiership competition that was run by the New Zealand Rugby League. The Canterbury Bulls won the minor premiership and then the premiership by defeating Auckland rugby league team, Auckland 26–20 in the Grand Final. International competitions The New Zealand national rugby league team defeated Tonga national rugby league team, Tonga in Rotorua before heading to Europe to compete in the 2009 Rugby League Four Nations, Four Nations where they finished third. Bronson Harrison (born 10 October 1985) is a New Zealand former professional rugby league footballer who played as a forward in the 2000s and 2010s.
