2010 Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship
The 2010 Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship was the seventh staging of the Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 2004. The championship began on 4 June 2010 and ended on 10 October 2010. On 30 July 2010, Fr. O’Neill’s were relegated from the championship following a 1-15 to 0-10 defeat by Aghabullogue. On 10 October 2010, Ballymartle won the championship following a 2-14 to 0-13 defeat of Tracton in the final. It remains their only championship title in this grade. Tracton's Ronan Walsh was the championship's top scorer with 2-57. It remains a record cumulative score for a player in a single championship. Teams A total of 16 teams contested the Premier Intermediate Championship, including 14 teams from the 2009 premier intermediate championship, one relegated from the 2009 senior championship and one promoted from the 2009 intermediate championship. Valley Rovers GAA Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in the parish of Innishannon in County Cork, Ireland. The club was formed in 1919 when two teams in the parish, Innishannon and Knockavilla, came together. The club fields teams in hurling, camogie, Gaelic football and Ladies' football. It participates in the Carrigdhoun division of Cork GAA. As of 2020, the club were playing at Premier senior level in football and Premier intermediate level in hurling. Ballyhea GAA
Ballyhea GAA is a hurling club in the village of Ballyhea in Cork, Ireland. The club is affiliated to the Avondhu, division of Cork GAA. As of 2015, the club was competing in the Cork Senior Hurling Championship. It does not field Gaelic football teams. History Ballyhea GAA Club has been in existence for over 126 years. The history of the club published in 1984 say the first GAA meeting took place in Jim Powers's Forge in the townland of Pruntas in late 1885 or early 1886. During its history the club has won County Championships in Senior, Intermediate, Junior and Juvenile Hurling. Over the years, Ballyhea players have helped Avondhu to County success. 1952 saw Lack Morrissey play in goal, Mick Quinn was corner-back, Jim Walshe was full-forward. 1966 saw Billy Fitzgibbon, Jack Russell, and Pat Behan win Senior County medals. Killeagh
Killeagh () is a village in east County Cork, Ireland. It is approximately from Cork city, between Midleton and Youghal on the N25 national primary road. Demographics The population of Killeagh increased significantly between the 2002 census and 2016 census. The 2002 census recorded a population of 426, increasing to 521 (a 22.3% increase) by the 2006 census. By the 2016 census, the population had grown to 899. Of these, 87% were white Irish, less than 1% were white Irish travellers, 10% were other white ethnicities, 1% black, less than 1% Asian, with a similar number not stating their ethnicity. In terms of religion, Killeagh was 80% Catholic, 7% other stated religion, 12% had no religion, and less than 1% did not state a religion.
