2010 Copa Sudamericana Final Stages
The finals stages of the 2010 Copa Sudamericana de Clubes are the Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals. Teams from the Round of 16 onwards were seeded depending on which Second Stage tie they win (i.e. the winner of Match O1 has the 1 seed). A single-elimination, knockout, or sudden death tournament is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of each match-up is immediately eliminated from the tournament. Each winner will play another in the next round, until the final match-up, whose winner becomes the tournament champion. Each match-up may be a single match or several, for example two-legged ties in European sports or best-of series in American pro sports. Club Sport Emelec is an Ecuadorian sports club based in Guayaquil that is best known for their professional football team.
