2010 Boys' Youth South American Volleyball Championship
The 2010 Boys' Youth South American Volleyball Championship was the 17th edition of the tournament, organised by South America's governing volleyball body, the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV) for Under-19 teams. It was held in Venezuela. The top national team other than Argentina qualified to the 2011 Youth World Championship, Argentina had already secured a berth as Host. The Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV) (Portuguese: ) is the continental governing body for the sports of volleyball in South America. Its headquarters is located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Profile The CSV's origins are still under dispute. Some argue it was founded in Buenos Aires, Argentina on February 12, 1946; some, that it was founded in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on July 3 of the same year. Argentina Men's National Volleyball Team
The Argentina national volleyball team represents Argentina in international men's volleyball and is controlled by the Argentine Volleyball Federation (''Federación del Voleibol Argentino'' in Spanish, and abbreviated "FeVA"). The Argentina team made their international debut at the South American Championship in Rio de Janeiro in 1951, claiming fourth place. They competed in their first World Championship 1960 in the same city, where they finished 11th. The team's best achievements are the bronze medal at the 1982 World Championship, the bronze medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics and two gold medals at the 1995 and 2015 Pan American Games.
