2009–10 Serbian SuperLiga
The 2009–10 Serbian SuperLiga (known as the Jelen SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons) is the fourth season of the SuperLiga since its establishment in 2006. It began on 15 August 2009 and ended on 16 May 2010. A total of sixteen teams contest the league, with Partizan the defending champions. Changes from the 2008–09 season Structure changes League size was expanded from twelve to sixteen teams prior to this season. As a consequence, the schedule for each team was reduced from 33 to 30 matches. Team changes Due to the league expansion, only 12th-placed Banat Zrenjanin were relegated to the First League. They were replaced by the 2008–09 First League champions BSK Borča. The other four teams achieving promotion were (in order of their finish) FK Smederevo, Mladi Radnik, Spartak Zlatibor Voda and Metalac Gornji Milanovac. The Serbian Super League ( sr, Супер лига Србије / Super liga Srbije), referred to as the Mozzart Bet Super League ( sr, Моцарт Бет Супер лига / Mozzart Bet Super liga) for sponsorship reasons, is a Serbian professional league for football clubs. At the top of the Serbian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. It is usually contested by 16 clubs, but the 2020-21 season was contested by 20 clubs, because the Football Association of Serbia restructured the league due to the COVID-19 pandemic, operating a system of promotion and relegation with Serbian First League, the second tier in the Serbian football pyramid. The SuperLiga was formed during the summer of 2005 as the country's top football league competition in Serbia and Montenegro. Čačak Stadium ( sr-cyr, Стадион Чачак) or Borac Stadium ( sr-cyr, Стадион Борца), is a multi-purpose stadium in Čačak, Serbia. It is the home ground of football (soccer), football club FK Borac Čačak, Borac Čačak. History The Čačak Stadium was opened in 1958. The stadium has undergone reconstruction from 2011 to 2017, in a project that was worth 3 million euros. After the completion of the reconstruction, the stadium is capable of holding 8,000 spectators. Čačak ( sr-Cyrl, Чачак, ) is a city and the administrative center of the Moravica District in central Serbia. Fk Javor Matis () is a professional football club based in Ivanjica, Serbia. They compete in the Serbian SuperLiga, the top tier of the national league system. History In 1912, a student named Milan Radojević brought the first football ball to Ivanjica, which led to the formation of the club. The team mostly played friendly matches before the conclusion of World War II due to a lack of organized football competitions. FK Hajduk Kula (Serbian Cyrillic: ФК Хајдук Кула) was a Serbian football club based in Kula. The club was named after a Hajduk, a much celebrated hero figure in the Serbian epic poetry. Fudbalski klub Borac Čačak (), or simply Borac Čačak, is a professional football club based in Čačak, Serbia. The home ground is Čačak Stadium, which has seating capacity of 8,000.
