2009–10 Saint Louis Billikens Men's Basketball Team
The 2009–10 Saint Louis Billikens men's basketball team represented Saint Louis University in the 2009–10 college basketball season. This was head coach Rick Majerus's third season at Saint Louis. The Billikens compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference and played their home games at Chaifetz Arena. They finished the season 23–13, 11–5 in A-10 play and lost in the quarterfinals of the 2010 Atlantic 10 men's basketball tournament. They were invited to the 2010 College Basketball Invitational where they advanced to the best-of-3 games final. Rick Majerus
Richard Raymond Majerus (February 17, 1948 – December 1, 2012) was an American basketball coach and TV analyst. He coached at Marquette University (1983–1986), Ball State University (1987–1989), the University of Utah (1989–2004), and Saint Louis University (2007–2012). Majerus's most successful season came at Utah in the 1997–98 season, when the Utes finished as runners-up in the 1998 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. Majerus was inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2019. Early life Majerus was the son of Alyce and Raymond Majerus, a Kohler factory worker and labor leader who was at one time secretary-treasurer of the United Auto Workers. Brian Conklin
Brian Conklin (born September 5, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for FC Porto of the Liga Portuguesa de Basquetebol. He played college basketball for Saint Louis University and has since played in New Zealand, Australia, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, France, and Turkey. High school career Conklin attended North Eugene High School in Eugene, Oregon. As a junior in 2006–07, he averaged 19.6 points and 11.3 rebounds per game, leading his team to a perfect 28–0 record, the 5A Oregon State championship and was subsequently named the 2007 Player of the Year. Willie Reed Jr. (born May 16, 1990) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Budućnost of the Montenegrin Basketball League. He played college basketball for Saint Louis University. College career Reed spent two seasons playing for Saint Louis University between 2008–09 and 2009–10. Cody Gordon Ellis (born 24 April 1990) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Warwick Senators of the NBL1 West. After four years of college basketball for Saint Louis University, Ellis had a five-year stint in the NBL with the Sydney Kings and Illawarra Hawks. Kirkwood, Missouri
