2009–10 Robert Morris Colonials Men's Basketball Team
The 2009–10 Robert Morris Colonials men's basketball team represented Robert Morris University in the 2009–2010 NCAA Division I basketball season. Robert Morris was coached by Mike Rice Jr. and played their home games at the Charles L. Sewall Center in Moon Township, PA. The Colonials are a members of the Northeast Conference. They finished the season 23–12, 15–3 in NEC play. They won the 2010 Northeast Conference men's basketball tournament to earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2010 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. They earned a 15 seed in the South Region and played 2 seed Villanova in the first round. The Colonials took Villanova to overtime before falling 73–70 to end their season. New Knoxville High School is a public high school in New Knoxville, Ohio. It is the only high school in the New Knoxville Local School district. Athletics New Knoxville is a member of the Midwest Athletic Conference. Their mascot is the Ranger. The Rangers are DIV IV in the state of Ohio and have only 6 Varsity sports for men and women. Northwest High School, located at 5525 W. 34th St. Indianapolis, Indiana, was a traditional high school operated by the publicly funded Indianapolis Public Schools organization. It closed in 2018. About The school, built in 1962-1963, adopted a unique school mascot called the "Space Pioneer," a reference to the United States' early man-in-space program underway during the school's founding. Willard is a city in southwestern Huron County, Ohio, United States, approximately southwest of Norwalk. The population was 6,236 at the 2010 census. History The original name of Willard was Chicago, named for the junction of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad's line to Sandusky (the Sandusky, Mansfield and Newark Railroad) and the branch west to Chicago (the Baltimore and Ohio and Chicago Railroad). Later the Akron and Chicago Junction Railroad was built east from the junction, providing a more direct route between the Northeastern United States and Chicago. With the name "Chicago", passengers would mistake the community for Chicago, Illinois, so they changed the name to Chicago Junction, however, the word "junction" did not fit on boards at the time so it did not fix the problem.
